Went pure str straightsword faggotry at the start, found out that singular scaling is really fucking powerful even after 40
Then I tried out quality at like 35/35 split but didn't really see that big of a damage increase at the cost of many soul levels, also getting refined gems for trying out more things is kinda not a thing for me right now - seems I can't get any.
Now I kinda want to go back to str but maybe with some miracles on the side? Get the swole chivalrous man going, you know. Are the utility miracles even worth it? Also, any good scaling str weapons with heavy infusions beside greataxe and LSw/BSw/DSw?

I can't put my summon sign or even use a homeward bone in the Cathedral of the Deep. Anyone know why that is the case?
So the ring of steel protection is broken for me. Tested with a friend who was using Black Knight Greataxe, with it on his 2H R1 only did 8 or 9 less damage.
Anyone else tested this shit out? A lot of these rings seem to be fucking useless.
Why is dragonform so universally shit?
Not only talking about the fact that you look like you have anorexia but, the dragonstones are fucking useless
You count as naked, giving you a pleasant -50 to ALL your defensive stats.
regular ones do jack shit
Even with caster grade int/faith you breath wont even break 90 damage on a silver knight, and it's so slow that it wont stagger for shit.
The roar is only a measily 20% damage buff for like 5 seconds.
The stand powers have cast times that are slower than most high end spells and they do less damage than a straight sword swing, not to mention you have no hyper armor while casting them, guaranteeing you'll barely if ever get them off.
What the fuck happened? Cauliflower and beastmode where grade A transformations, and then they phone it in with DaS2 nerfed dragon abilities, without actually giving you armor to compensate.
This is by far the weakest the dragonform has been in the souls series.

Honestly, I really feel like all the weapons feel as they should in regards to damage and functionality, with one exception: Straight Swords. I've beaten the game with a lot of different weapons classes (Straight sword, Katana, Halberd, Great Axe, Great Sword, regular Axes), and everything feels good as fuck and has the damage it should except for Straight Swords and it throws the whole thing out of wack. It makes greatswords seem completely trash (though I admit they could use a small damage buff) because their base damage is so close to them. Pretty much all of the weapon classes have damage that make sense by themselves, but when you compare them to straight swords it just doesn't make sense.
I think if Straight Swords just received a universal damage nerf everything would make a lot more sense. They'd also still be good because they're fast as shit, don't use almost ANY stamina and have a godlike 1HR1 for PvE.

Be sure to talk to this person here and exhaust dialogue, but then go back here and do this, but also talk to this person, then go back to this area with nothing in it after buying items to give to someone, then go kill this person but only pick a certain dialogue, send this person out and be sure not to pick another certain dialogue the next time, also be sure to find this particular sneaky shit interaction or this person dies during the next boss, also don't forget to not join this covenant before doing everything up to a point with this person or it'll end and also take all these levels that you get by dying more from them and then and then and then and then and then.

This is kinda bullshit. Magic is so weak in this game, both in PvE and PvP. I'm doing more damage hitting people a few times with my fire sword as a Full Int build than I am with Fire Orb, and it doesn't basically stun me in place while I'm doing it either.
Not to mention so many enemies are hyper aggressive, and don't give you an once of space to cast anything.
It's even worse in PvP. I get lucky and slap someone for 200 or so damage with the Fire Orb, then they just roll forward and half my fucking health bar with a single attack.
I get that magic (specifially Hexes) was kinda overpowered in Dark Souls 2, but this seems like going too far in the opposite direction.

Parry works the same as every goddamn countering mechanic ever created since the dawn of time.
1) Enemy attacks yoy
2) Hit the parry button the moment before you believe the attack will hit
3) Enemys gets "stunned," and does a little staggering animation
4) Hit light attack to riposte the enemy and deal massive damage

PvP is locked to what is available at your Level and the Level of your weapon. You can't twink in this game because the moment you upgrade your weapon--any weapon--you're put into an entirely different bracket of players.

Bosses like nameless king, pontiff sulayvahn, lothric twins, dancer, champion gundyr are much harder than the content within dark souls 1, and it's fitting that they are all fairly late game in terms of content.
Play dark souls 1 again and you would see just how much slower the bosses are, they have less combo potential and less moves, they don't more agressive phases. The minibosses in dark souls 1 are nothing like that of 3, the normal enemies are a lot more placid.
The difference is that dark souls 3 is the fifth game in this particular series (and extended games), you are more use to the gameplay style.

The reveal after rom was actually rather dismal.
In essence it can be described as "the moon changes colour", "things now appear on walls"
Bloodborne does very little interesting with the much more exciting lore potential after rom.
You have yahargul, which is largely beasts and village folk again, the body carriages at the bottom are interesting, but not enough to shock or excite, the one reborn is shit, literally.
The nightmare areas are both hugely uninteresting, nightmare of mensis in particular is just another extension of the gothic/victorian style without actually doing much in an eldritch vein with the area design/encounters other than the frenzy brains.
It's hugely disappointing.
So many bloodborne fans promote the game's huge twist, but it was flaccid as fuck unless you were literally scavenging and scrambling through the lore.
Chalice dungeons are shit because there's little to no point of them being in the game.

Having watched his other playthroughs (or "this is how you don't play") he seems to seriously overlevel and then depend on that to power through it. In BB he got to like lvl 95 before shadows of yarnham. In DeS he got to I think lvl 97 very early in. In dark souls he threw a little cry, then after a few months came back with co-op helpers. I haven't really seem DaS2, but it's easy as shit and he probably cheesed everything with spells.
