I just checked how much damage Carthus Flame Arc gives me, and it's ~113 for every weapon: my upgraded greatsword, some random axe, and some random dagger. It's a flat damage buff (that's with a +3 Flame and base Pyro int+fth).
Assuming the Miracle and Sorcery buffs work the same way, all buffers are hugely incentivized to wield quick weapons. Is there any incentive to wield a great hammer as a caster other than Fashion Souls? It really seems like it ought to do damage proportionate to the physical damage of the weapon.

How the fuck can you tell if you're banned in DaS3? I was just invading fine like 2 hours ago and then all of a sudden I couldn't find anyone to invade and summon signs are gone, I still get bloodstains, messages and occasionally see phantoms running through though.

I'm trying very hard to git gud with the Target Shield parry for invading. It's the only way I can get a hit in with my claymore against aggressive enemy players. Poise is fixed. It was broken in DaS, if you had a fast hitting weaker weapon you had no chance against someone with high poise because they could just ignore your attacks and spam at you with no risk of ever getting staggered because their weapon will stagger you and reset their poise meter every time.
Now if the weak weapons get in a hit first they still have a chance, but the slow weapons can still tank through hits if they time it properly.
Basically it's fair now and using your poise requires some semblance of skill instead of just a passive ability to completely ignore your enemies swings
So if you're hit by just one of the strikes in Cinder Gwyn's supercombo, it's basically RIP you?

Got jumped by 2 wolf bros in the forest yesterday, ended up having help from the giant crab then eventually the black knight, good times.
So anyway I've seen alot of confusion regarding getting Greirat to survive Irithyll, I've looked at the Nip wiki and here's how they do it, I've tried it myself and it works.
Have done all of Onion bro's quest stuff to this point (Fire demon fight in Undead Settlement, get his armor back from Patches) and have Greirat scavenged once already.
Leave the Smouldering Lake boss alive till you get to Irithyll, at this point in my experience I talk to Onion bro in the kitchen then sent Greirat to Irithyll. Afterwards go kill the Smouldering Lake boss and Greirat will be back at Firelink remaking that an 'Onion Knight' saved him.
I think what's fucking most people up is that they heading down to the Irithyll Dungeons without killing a boss which is usually the trigger for NPC questline progression. Without killing a boss before going to the Dungeon moves Onion to being imprison down there and because he's stuck down there, no ones there to save Greirat back in Irithyll.
Hope this helps people out and also Greirat is always destined to die on the 3rd scavenger run which I posted about a good while back.
