It's fun, if a pain in the ass at times. It is more or less required because you will need soulstones for equipment upgrades, which can only be gained through arena or faction dailies.
Most servers have heavy faction imbalance, for instance on jiwan blue heavily outnumbers red and has a much easier time farming in faction zones. However, at least in jiwan's case, most players on red expect to have to pvp (most of the people that couldn't deal with it swapped sides) and can come out on top except when it comes to lolsummonerfmspam. Which is what most people on blue do now.
If your goal is to go out and kill people I would suggest playing on the smaller faction. I switched from blue to red about a week ago and got 1k kills in a week. Some of those were bots, some of them involved guns, but a lot of them I just outplayed people (or outspun them).
If you go out to kill people you can also expect to be called a fag, faggot, dog, dogggggggggg, fucker, asshole, cunt, etc. and you can also expect your family and clan to be called these things as well so I don't recommend doing it if you don't have thick skin. You will also get told that you were "rekt" and "owned" by people who cannot kill you without having 3 members spam phantom grip on you so that you cannot do anything without an impossible amount of iframes.
Pic related, it's an achievement that requires you to kill 1000 people from each major faction. Arena kills count (I think) but I barely play arena.

Junkoi is nice as a person, but awful in pretty much most dungeons and that's if they even manage to stay in the dungeon the entire run. 8 times out of 10 Junkoi disconnects and everyone is left standing around hoping they get back in on time
Not that it matters anyway because even if they manage to stay in the run they're never actually useful. Can't tank, dies easily, acts/or is actually always confused and probably doesnt dish out much damage either. Again, nice person. Fun to be around, but not good at the game at all.

"KFM is the hardest class" is the single biggest meme that the game has ever spawned. The class has an overloaded kit with iframes, counters, cc, gapclosers, and everything else they could ever need or want. The only thing that even requires some semblance of "skill" is 3rf and even then it's just a matter of getting the timing down depending on your ping. And to get used to it all you need to do is to find a target and practice the combo for a few hours.
Seriously, everyone who plays KFM and thinks that they're hot shit because they are playing a class that for some unimaginable reason got rated 4.5 stars on the difficulty scale should just neck themselves. Even Destroyer is more difficult to play effectively than KFM.

This. The fact that a KFM can take away 50% of your HP by only using the Daze tech chase and a Z is fucking ridiculous. And on top of that they have their V & Palm, 4 seconds of god mode(Q+E because you can't hit them when they do that) and then an additional 6 seconds of god mode if you only hit them 3(THREE) fucking times. Oh, and even your dodges give them agility buffs, so you can't even use your own i-frames to avoid their attacks. Also did I mention Crits on demand and non-fucking-stop backstep KDs?

KFM are easier to counter if you know their skillset and rotations.
For example, as a BM, if you counter, you're giving a free stun me with triple kick. So you shouldn't do that often as a BM. But if you want to bait them with counter, you can do it right with timing.
