I could beat him in the Crucifixion woods by cheesing him with power attacks, but holy shit this Farron Keep invasion. I can't see him coming, getting close to him means he can hit me with the world's most devastating pickaxe (which doubles as his staff for casting meh damage sorceries from a range and staying invisible) and he takes no damage whatsoever. This is terrible.
Anyone know where I can find a dark and poison infusion gems? The wiki tells me enemies to farm them from but i'm sure there's gotta be at least one of those in the world somewhere.
So sorceries for a second playthrough is a terrible idea? I'm reading that casters got fucked again.
I miss DaS1 where you could rely on your field of magic in its entirety rather than having to supplement it with a weapon that ends up doing more damage than your endgame spells anyway

So many enemies in general are fucking sanic fast in DS3. I might be wrong but I remember most DS1 enemies as being a bit more sluggish but strong. With some fast hitters in between. In DS3 everything seems to sprint at you, which is not fun if you can't cancel out of your casting animation.

Yeah, DaS1 enemies are pretty slow and move like robots, tbqh. They also have hardly any variety to their attacks. DaS2 added more attack patterns and slightly more lifelike movement. This is definitely a lot faster. Even big fat fuck enemies are more nimble than skinny enemies from DaS1. Fought Capra Demon earlier and it was like an old man wading through a swimming pool by comparison.

There's an estus flash shard there and while there is an exploit to get around it, 20k souls is nothing a bit later on in the game. Just be patient
