Don't fucking bother, the spin attack is a pile of fucking shit. It hits three times but it literally does 1/2 your damage each swing.
A normal swing does like 150, the FULL 3 hit combo does 220 total and takes at least twice as long to complete.

I think it could work in a dedicated build at 120, where you ignored INT / Faith and just built it pure melee, abusing the Weapon Art in creative ways.
It's such a confusing weapon. I almost feel like they intended it to be used in conjunction with low investment pyromancies, such as Boulder Heave and the Clouds (and then using the Weapon Art to control space).

playing magic ruins a lot of the fun of dark souls on the first go round IMO since you can usually cheese bosses with pyromancy and sorcery more easily than you can fight them in melee. There's a reason people always recommend that noobs play pyromancer from the start.
Anyways, anyone have any guess at what the meta weapons will be this go around? Most of what I've found seems to have pretty mediocre scaling. The UGS that Tarkus drops seems great for PVE but it's an UGS so it'll be dogshit in pvp. Most of the boss soul weapons seem to have terrible scaling.
I've been using a Lucerne and occasionally the cestus. Haven't really found anything better that doesn't have a massive parry window.

Extra early game edition here. I'm still messing around on the High Wall, trying to get that fatty to drop his halberd. I hope an optimization patch drops soon. I was getting 50-60 FPS yesterday but today it keeps dropping all over the place after turning off motion blur, which makes zero sense to me.

coming from only having played DaS the invincibility frames feel like too much 2bh. But I guess they're necessary given that half of the bosses and many of the big enemies have a 'chimp out and swing fucking everywhere wildly' attack.
