OK, I've been farming vertebra shackles in the carthus catacombs for an hour now and I've seen one drop. How do I increase my item discovery? I'm already wearing the mimic helm, crystal sage rapier and base gold serpent, I'm only in NG somI can't get the +1 or +2. Is there any way to increase item discovery further without levelling luck? I'm about 100 off max discovery, so I'd have to level it like 40 times. At this point I'm thinking it would be faster to just not play for a few days and just finish every covenant when the servers go live next week.

I don't think they are fucked at all. From what I have seen they work similar to the scaling in BB, where weapons with scaling based on those stats scale like other weapons (to 40 or 50), but to get the most out of the spells you need more than that, something like 70 in the relevant stat.

You just kill Emma and initiate the Dancer. Summom the Sword Master to solo the Dancer for you. I think it only works if you summon him once, homeward bone out of the boss room, then summon him again. For some reason, the Dancer can't even tickle him the second time. He'll eventually bleed her out.

Eventually, they would degenerate into the watchdog beasts.

Pyro is the only magic type in the game that's viable at lower levels, dragon form is an improvement over DS1, boss weapons are some of the least boring in the entire game, and one less covenant rank is hardly a thing to be pissed off about.
The rest is basically true, though.
You can save character appearances, right? I really liked that in BB because you could have a look at the actual ingame lighting that way.
