You do them till their limit then never again. Most zones give around 15 exp cards, so sometimes repeatables are used as filler instead of a bunch of different quests. The final completion of a repeatable usually gives an extra item or equip.

Damage was supposedly increased too. But unless it was a major buff, the class is still shit.
The class is still shit either way, most of their abilities deal damage and require a shield. This locks you out of some of the better damage dealing gear in the game (no high damage two handed swords, and no offhanded meme daggers).

Pelt2/Rode2/Fencer2 is probably the best tank class because of Slithering though. Shield Charge is good for keeping mobs and opponents in pvp from attacking as another way to mitigate damage. Only thing the class needs is more damage really. But that shouldn't matter too much if your classes after it are good. Maybe Murmillo or some other new class will complement it well.
