Standard isn't going to have the impact you think it is. At this point the only thing relevant yet to be revealed is classic card nerfs, because with the exception of secret paladin; nearly every top tier deck on ladder existed pre-naxx and pre-gvg.
WoG cards are simply not good no matter the circumstances surrounding them. No amount of cards leaving rotation or nerfs will make the bulk of them viable for high ranked competitive play.
