No other character picks the worst fucking time to say "I love you". The only other time that was close to that was Hinata telling Naruto before she stepped to Pain, and that was more emotionally charged because it was a guy she'd had a deep emotional connection to for years, as opposed to Rin and Kakashi, which was made to look like Sakura and Sasuke.

Which clan is your favorite clan /nsung/? Mine's the Hyuga. Exotic appearance, interesting fighting style, as well as politics, and a kekkai genkai that actuates what was cool about the concept, back when Haku introduced it, without being to non-specialized and OP (sharingan started cool, when it was about copying techniques, but stopped being interested when its power just became "the power to have all the powers"). I like the idea of this proper noble family that came into wealth through something as grungy and amoral as mercenary work, as well as how traditionally Japanese they were. I like all of the Hyuga, at least as characters, and the temperamental variation amongst them (cheerful, extroverted Hanabi vs stoic, withdrawn Hiashi, who, himself differs significantly from, say, Hinata); I feel that they avoided the trap of having their bloodline limit, or one aspect, such as the Curse of Hatred, take over the entirety of their characterization.
It seems that once you get past the Hyuga and Uchiha, that there's a pretty significant drop off in terms of how much you know about each clan's way of life, though from what little we knew, I also liked the Uzumaki (weren't overexposed and kept themselves mysterious enough, did the whole "extinct bloodline" thing the Uchiha did without being difficult to like as people or one trick ponies, bloodline trait of high chakra reserves lends itself to a lot without being too OP) and Yamanaka (soul possession, Nara shadow manipulation, insect control, and Byakugan are abilities that lend themselves really well to the espionage and subtlety of actual ninja). A lot of the others, like the Aburame, had really cool concepts, but were mostly "one person clans," so it was the character I liked, or their power set, rather than necessarily the clan as a whole.
