One of the things that I've noticed a lot of "theories" and suggestions taking as fact now is that Spring Bonnie is the suit Purple used for the murders. Even Silver Eyes seemed to imply it.
That said, it doesn't make sense to me. Wouldn't Golden Freddy have been the more logical suit the killer used? It's limp in the first game, has visibly had parts removed in the second. Appears in the office in the third. Spring Bonnie malfunctioned as soon as Purple climbed inside it to get away from the kids. It seemed like a last ditch effort, and I can't imagine him being able to murder children in the freedom of an animatronic suit only for it to break down when he did so little as laugh.

There's an ability in the game called Negate where you can place up to 6 shields to use as cover with the alt ability creating a bubble around you at the cost of speed and energy drain.
Only difference between this and your description is that they are permanent until you place the maximum amount and one disappears so you can place another and that you can move them around before placing them.God I love that game
