Maybe but don't expect it.
If the rules are going to be updated I'd like to know everything that needs updating/fixing/implementing because over the years there's been a ton of things that have needed to be done but haven't really. So because there's a lot of things wrong with the rules I cannot remember everything that needs codifying, so if anyone can post the things that they know need to be in the rules it would help a lot.

The answer is actually no. The reason Mami is Waifu Walls is a bit weird honestly. I was making the roster page and thought the Mami wallpaper would look good on the gold background for gold players. Then Smugleaf made boxheads out of the pictures on the roster page and an anon later posted in /4ccg/ a few times about using Credens Justitatem as a goalhorn and I tried it out in some invitationals and kept it around for polling and it stayed in. That said I cannot deny that she is my favourite character from one of my favourite shows which is why I had that wallpaper in the first place.

Well for Winter there was /o/ submitting a horribly broken export again and nobody knowing what the correct response was and during the Ro16 the former /u/ manager wanted to come back and manage because Retort wasn't there but got denied because while people getting verified during cups has never been allowed someone who has been verified coming back mid-cup had never happened so it was a weird gray area.

The current rules for export violations are too vague and leave too much up to discretion:

1. Should an export contain rule-breaking faults, the 4CCC will then take the necessary actions to fix these faults with a penalty.
2. The 4CCC reserves the right to disqualify teams for an Elite Cup should their export be deemed to contain too many faults. In this case a backup will replace that team.

So when /o/ broke their export with 33 errors, they could have either been punished heavily (which they weren't) or even be disqualified (which they weren't). Maybe have a cap system where like 5 errors nets you a card loss, 10 errors nets you two cards lost, and more than that is automatic disqualification.

Now, in the case of /u/ where we had to sit through 20 minutes of riggy diggy during a KNOCKOUT match. Personally, I thought tactical changes of that extent should be banned but the rules do allow for "live managing" so under Chapter V section 2.2
It should be clear though that old retired managers shouldn't be allowed to come back and manage in place of current managers since the retired managers are not part of the staff (presumably). (I'm looking at chapter II section 5) There should also be statements about what "retirement" actually is and what "sacking" is for that matter and how final both these options are.

Also, will this not apply from now on? If not, you should probably get rid of it:
Should there not be enough signups for a Babby Cup, a select amount of random competitors that did not sign up will then fill up the open spots (called 'autopilot teams'). These teams will play with their latest official export adjusted to the rules of that cup, as well as some disadvantages decided by the 4CCC. If no such exports exist, it will be made by the 4CCC.

Now, pics please

The only thing I have to say about the /u/ case is that, while it does feel somewhat excessive and is a bitch to sit through while watching it, if you were to deny them the opportunity after a concession/20 minutes, that would be riggy in and of itself, and in a worse way. /u/ ended up being second, if they weren't allowed they could have lost to /d/ and we would have had a very different tournament.

You're right a huge problems with the rules are that there's a huge amount of discretion and while that could be used to make the best decision for the situation what happened with /o/ is that because there wasn't a hard rule on what to do nobody wanted to take a bold action. The same sort of thing happened with the 20 minutes of rigging, it's up to the streamer and so no bold decision was made and that is a problem but what is equally a problem is if we get specific and then get the numbers wrong.

And the issue with the /u/ person wasn't that they wanted to come back it was that they wanted to come back in the middle of the cup, I know they had been working with him doing testing and such but the rules stop someone new from coming aboard but nobody had thought to specify someone coming back.

And that last one will probably not apply anymore and hopefully there will be specifics like super soon.

Another thing that needs discussing is what's okay for a player specific kit. The only two in Winter were an /mlp/ player and a /gd/ player because Tony didn't tell anyone how it was possible then Smugleaf got his hands on the aesthetics and instantly cracked it. It can make a player have a kit completely different from the rest of the teams' jersey which could lead to kit clashes and players not looking like they're part of any team.
>>
>>136136318
I'd say player-specific kits fall under the same category as blimp train-tier blenders, use them if you need to, just don't go full retard.

Where full retard is, obviously, defined by our pony overlord with a fetish.
>>
>>136136318
In my opinion, if it's just changing the kit texture there should only be one or two at max allowed per team, if it's changing the shirt model itself (can that even be done?) then we could be a bit more relient since those are more noticeable and won't cause less confusion.

By Jimmy Russels

On April 1st, 2011+1 /m/ hoisted the first babby title triumphantly as they marched onward to the 2012 Summer Cup.

But the following four years it would have fans of Japanese Culture teams stunned time and time again. /m/ would fall short of a final in summer 2012 to take a bronze trophy to their display after defeating /toy/ 4-0. /h/ would be the closest japanese culture team to the podium in the following season of Autumn 2012 at 11th place. In winter 2013 /cm/ came in fourth initially just missing the third place trophy by way of being gassed with the triple effort of Stormfront, Doompaul, and Hitler. Of course due to Dragongate /cm/'s 4th place finish was nullified and brought great dishonor to the Japanese Culture teams, tarnishing what would've otherwise been considered as a great run. Defeating /a/ in an incredible 4-0 victory only to lose to /toy/ 4-2 in the semi-final. In the 2013 Spring Babby Cup Japanese Culture would not prevail as /cgl/ made an appearance to the round of 16 and then a prompt exit with a 2-0 loss to /ck/. In the "Height Abuse" Summer 2013 Tournament Japanese Culture would fall short of the semi finals with all hope riding /a/ before losing to the eventual champions /wg/ 3-1. In Autumn 2013 the hope for Japanese Culture was found in the unlikely candidate of /f/ but unfortunately /f/ lost 1-0 in the very final moments against /fa/ in the quarter finals leaving /f/ in 5th place as Dick Ovens and the rest of the /fa/ squad would go onto the finals but would lose a hard fought match against /toy/ 2-0. /a/ would come close in the 2014 winter cup, defeating /mlp/ in extra time with a Bert brace however their second star would be snatched away by a very precise /trv/ only allowing /a/ 3 shots on target compared to the five of their own. /trv/ hoisted the Winter 2014 trophy after a 2-0 victory.
>>
>>136136318
imo don't change the kits at all. The whole point is this is supposed to be a team and teams wear the same kit aside from the keeper. Blenders feel different for me because you can't have blenders in irl divegrass but kits I feel weird about.
>>
>>136137391
During the 2014 Spring Babby cup with the freshly introduced Mega Babby format Japanese Culture would find itself stopped once again in the Quarter Finals. /e/ dispatched in penalties by eventual champions /pol/, /u/ defeated by /tg/ in a nail biting 1-0 match. The 2014 summer cup would see all time Japanese Culture titan /a/ toppled all the way down to 27th place and into their first babby tournament. Leaving the dream with the /u/ and /h/ who would eventually enter a three way tie for the 5th place participation ribbon with each other and /ic/. /u/ was knocked out by /x/ 2-1 and /h/ by their 3DPD Neighbor /hr/ by the same score line.

The 2014 Autumn Babby Cup saw /e/ make it all the way to the final but /b/ would not allow them to hoist the first place trophy an ember of hope was lit in the 80th minute as ENF scored for /e/ but the dual effort of Triforce and The Fappening would prove to be enough to prevent their victory and also ignited a Giga Puddi raid on the /e/ board itself where /e/ then lost use of a few pages for the remainder of the day. Winter 2015 would see another runner up finish for Japanese Culture. This time in /h/ as they would best their pure counterpart /u/ in a tight 1-0 match and then another 1-0 victory over /ck/ with a goal from Asuka at the end of the first half of extra time. However /tg/ with the traditional roll of the D20 /tg/ would defeat /h/ in the final 1-0 with Doomrider scoring the only goal of the match whilst jamming several syringes in his arm and also consuming a whole brick of cocaine orally whilst doing so.

The Rules talk page (https://implyingrigged.info/wiki/Appendix_talk:Rules) keeps track of a couple things that get/got mentioned in /4ccg/, however as can be seen many of these points have been addressed or are outdated, and good new points don't come up here very often.

The most recent complaints about rules I remember are pretty much what >>136133830 wrote about faulty exports, especially regarding giving one's team too many cards so that you technically can test different card combos a few extra days, and the Signups period being too long/being essentially useless since people need to submit an export anyways or something along those lines (even though /4ccg/ wanted them to be codified in the first place).

About the /u/ thing, I agree that it should be made clearer that only managers currently listed on the team page can manage the team (II.5 in combination with II.5.2 technically already makes this clear, but I guess it couldn't hurt to clarify). However I think that while the endless rigging was painful to watch, that's excusable since it was the knockouts and tactical changes are more common and important there.

On that matter, another thing that came up recently here is that menu stuff (ie. setup and tactical rigging) take too long.
I personally don't think changes should be restricted too much only to try and save a few minutes of time since it'll only increase the burden on managers to not fuck stuff up since they'd have less options to fix it, but at the same time not really actually save much time.

Also maybe the streamer should re-read the entire rules page right before each tournament to refresh their memory on these since we've had quite a few lapses of this kind in the last few Cups, and even "the people that matter :^)" don't seem to be entirely on the same page as far as current rules go. I think Sou not knowing that Emotions were still of in Winter despite being in /merit/ is the single best example of this.
>>
>>136137638
In last years Spring Babby tournament /m/ would lose to /tv/ as FOR YOU crashed the colony with no survivors with a brace. The podium finish this time would go to a robotic /cgl/ as GET A GODDAMN WIG (I'm talking to you SDA). Would secure the appropriately dubbed "Bird Place" Trophy in which the players placed it in their case and then promptly shat all over screaming "MINE!" In the most recent Summer Tournament Japanese Culture would re-familiarize itself with quarter final exits in both /f/ and /u/. /f/ losing to /mu/ 2-0 and /u/ losing to /b/ 3-1. In Autumn 2015's tournament Japanese Culture would not escape the quarter finals yet again as /h/ lost to the eventual runner up, /int/ 3-0. And of course we come down to our most recent tournament for the woes of the weeaboos as once again they would be denied gold once again. Purest Form of Love and Homucifer with great goalkeeping by Madokami. L O N D O N opening up the score sheet. Homucifer to score the equalizer at 53rd minute of the second half. It only took Scooby six minutes afterwards to find the reply for /fit/ and Purest Form of love to equalize the contest yet again just nine minutes later. With extra time being tense Homucifer would pull /u/ ahead at 105+3. But the dying minutes of the match wrought despair for /u/ as L O N D O N would once again find the back of the net and with all of his strength Zyzz would shout "WE'RE ALL GONNA MAKE IT BRAHS!" as a short corner was masterfully taken and with the perfect pass given to him Zyzz would put the header in to make the match 4-3 leaving Japanese Culture with yet another 2nd place trophy.

this

The whole "one player can have a different kit than everyone else!" thing is cool from a "oh look they figured out how to do this" standpoint, but it goes against what a kit should be and just leads to only special snowflake teams having it.
>>
>>136136318
>people in charge too scared of hurting people's feelings or punishing mistakes in the name of efficiency
The discretion was given so people had the leeway to be quick and decisive about punishments, not meander and hesitate. If there's anything I've learned is that people will abuse rules if you make them vague and can only be brought in line if you punish them harshly. You make the rules more specific and they'll comply or be punished. As the new head honcho, you have the chance to make things right. Take command, don't take any bullshit from nobody. The pussyfooting days of Boris are over my friend. You have the reigns.

That was Jackie Chan, right? I feel that we can go a bit further with keepers since they don't move around as much as other players and they are not as confusing.

Another example would be /pol/'s Build Wall, which would be annoying as a field player but is okay as a keeper

His kit was still visible if I recall correctly, that's more of a special blender.

The usage of "would" seems to make more sense in these, however I still think it's weird and that you should drop it or at least use it less often.
>>
>>136138860
Noted good sir, feedback is appreciated! I'll use that good ol' google machine to find a thesaurus
>>
>>136139006
I don't think you need a thesaurus, but rather you should replace most instances of would with just simple past forms. Although as said it seems to be more fitting in these paragraphs, but I'm not a native speaker anyways so don't take my words for granted.
>>
>>136138640
No, only his pants were visible, rest was invisible.
You also have to take into account the rigcam potato quality for managers.
I remember because Bent was trying very hard to excuse that blender while shitting on big blenders like Maus, up to suggest a fucking rule to allow that specific blender for /mlp/
>>
>>136139006
Yeah, I didn't want to say anything because I don't usually read all that shit but that is a lot of "would" you have there.

>On November 17, 2013, /asp/ won their first and only babby cup match

Dear 136144330,
That kind of obsession over one team is unhealthy. But please keep posting if it helps you as a part of your teraphy. Personally, I envy someone who leads a life so carefree that his biggest problem that deserves daily complaints on chinese drawings website is watching particular team that wins some matches in virtual memegrass competition. I hope you will get well soon.

Which points would that be, then? "They get lucky all the time" isn't an argument. It's pointless rage from someone who's bias goes no further than >/myteam/'s wins are based on pure skill while /yourteam/'s wins are pure luck.

It's all a dice roll in the end, and every team tries to stack the dice in their favor.

Part of it happens before the cup begins, by figuring out the appropriate formation. Part of it happens before the match, by figuring out the appropriate tactics. And part of it happens during the game, by figuring out the appropriate changes, if necessary. A team that consistently does well will typically be good at at least one of these things. In the case of /mlp/ they have a team of autists running hundreds of tests before every game, so that's where their strength is at. When it comes down to cups, they always come prepared.

Do they win games they shouldn't? Of course. Every team does. They also lose games they shouldn't have. Just like every other team.

In the end, PES is a video game pretending to be divegrass. But PES isn't divegrass, and all your theorizing and futbol knowledge is pointless. To be good at PES, you need to be good at PES. Not divegrass.

/cgl/ will probably not sign up this time around and may be considered a ded team at this point since Satoshi could not gather enough interest to merit verification. /diy/ looks to be in a similiar situation unless someone comes in relatively soon. out of both those teams, /diy/ looks more likely to live, but someone will need to step up soon. If they both end up dead, /w/ and /hr/ would advance into the safe space of Pot 3.

There is also the possibilty of teams like /his/ or /trash/ coming into the fetus to qualify as well to replace said ded teams.

The only way that can work is if /hr/ stays permababy
>>
>>136198095

Definitely the first one.

>If they both end up dead, /w/ and /hr/ would advance into the safe space of Pot 3.

Wait I don't follow, if two pot 3 teams are ded, how does it leaves room for three pot 4-5 teams (/c/, /w/, /hr/) ?

>/cgl/ will probably not sign up this time around and may be considered a ded team at this point since Satoshi could not gather enough interest to merit verification.
I hope you're not lying, that sounds great

Hi page 9 ronery poster
>>

>board interest is necessary for a team to participate
Then why do teams like /s/, /out/ and /an/ exist?
>>
>>136199336
/t/ is automatically in a Fetus due to Autumn Fetus. Since this Fetus is gonna be 16 teams from pot 4-5, /t/ will start at the very bottom of pot 5 bumping the team currently at the top of 4 (/c/) into pot 3.

Ded teams like /diy/ and /cgl/ will be dropping to the bottom of pot 5 as well, so now /w/ and /po/ will move up into pot 3. /hr/ is already a pot 4 team and will just drop down a pot.

I monitored the thread Satoshi made, it only had 2 replies.

How do we make Bors appear on search result?
>>
>>136199997
>/t/ will start at the very bottom of pot 5 bumping the team currently at the top of 4 (/c/) into pot 3.
How does this make sense? only 7 winners in fetus?
>>
>>136199997
Lear is already rigging it I see
>>
>>136199997
>/t/ will start at the very bottom of pot 5 bumping the team currently at the top of 4 (/c/) into pot 3.

Wouldn't that make the first 3 pots 25 teams big ? (8 in pot 1, 8 in pot 2 and 9 in pot 3)
>>
>>136200383
/t/ is automatically in so one team gets a free pass to avoid a 17 team fetus
>>
>>136200625
So exactly how is fetus going to work then?
>>
>>136200829
bottom 16 teams (some may come and go, after signups we will know exactly who is participating) will compete for 8 spots in a 32 team Babby
>>
>>136200625

But that would just make a 33 team babby
>>
>>136200960
So the whole system can only work if /cgl/ or /diy/ stay dead
>>
>>136201309
40-8=?
>>
>>136201421

pot1+pot2+pot3+/c/+top 8 fetus=33

/cgl/ is pot 3 though, so they're bumped out to put /c/ in.
>>
>>136201670
it's pretty much guaranteed that /cgl/ is going to sit this one out considering they've had one manager shot down already.
