Tough decision.I did this a few years back to just "get away" and honestly I felt disgustingly afraid all the time. Stabbings and shootings were common. Neighbours played booming hip hop until dawn so I could never sleep and I could never ask them to turn it down because I'd just get beaten up or worse. If I ran out of some food I wanted I could only leave during sunlight hours and even then the ordeal felt agoraphobic. In my opinion if Kenji can't find somewhere half-decent to live, it's worth just sticking to his relative haven and spend time out of the house instead, only coming back to eat, bathe, sleep etc.
