Cromwell B is just a Cromwell that makes credits, plus you don't have the bullshit scout matchmaking to worry about either. Both are great for strongholds but you have to fire more gold in the 64. I have both and I prefer the CromB but the Type 64 is also a lot of fun

Expect to be shit for your first thousand games. There's a lot of map familiarity involved, where you need to know the general area your particular type of tank will be useful and which specific locations you can use for cover or need to watch for enemies.
That, combined with the fact that you're not on even footing in any given match, makes it unforgiving to new players.

Controls are bit wonky, and ignore the listed file size as you're going to download about 12~gbs at least
On console, it shouldn't be a huge hassle to get good
A bit more effort goes into it then say, CoD, but not much
The most confusing thing for you will probably be the spotting mechanics but everything else is pretty simple
No DLC, but as a Free to Play game, it's designed to try to get you to spend money
There's a pay to grind less option and you can buy special tanks that are supposed to be a bit below average in performance but have an increased credit flow, but in practice a few of them are better than their contemporaries

Difficulty depends on the line. Russian mediums or heavies are the easiest grinds in the game. There are a lot of good lines but watch out for the truly shit ones.

A decent amount. There's no pressure to play often besides one double xp boost for your first win of the day in a tank, and ops that are basically missions for in game rewards that refresh every week or so, but the amount of time it takes to get to a tier 10 is pretty tough. Don't feel rushed to get to endgame though. There are plenty of comfy and fun tanks in between all the tiers, but most people would consider most of these to be found at tier 5/6 and up. Low tiers are generally unbalanced.
As a whole it's a game with a lot of options and a lot of ways to suck up your time and money, but if you play smart you can avoid most of it and have a lot of fun.
I apologize in advance if there are tanks you like in real life that are butchered in wot, the game has some really good models for the tanks but balance can be weird. If you like Russia you'll fit right in.

You got it backwards, the American line gets less mobile, its at its least mobile at the T29, then becomes slightly more mobile then stays there. The T1 is the most mobile of all of them. That being said, out of the heavies, other than the french they are certainly one of the more mobile heavies.

T20 is arguably the best, or at least in the top 3 tier 7 mediums. It has APCR pen and decent alpha to be relevant even in tier 9, and has 'good enough' mobility, camo and viewrange as well. DPM is shit though, so it plays nothing like the E8. It's definitely a mobile sniper/cheeky flanking shot tank.
Granted being 'the best' tier 7 mediums is still nothing special as the tier is totally dominated by heavies and perhaps the SU-122-44.

I haven't played either, but I think the general consensus is E3.
E4 has lots of weak spots and a large weak cupola that tier 8 tanks can penetrate, in exchange for being a fair bit faster and having a turret which doesn't fully traverse.
E3 on the other hand is pretty much invulnerable from the front if you hide your lower plate, even the cupola is over 330+ in the weakest parts. But it's slow. Not T95 levels though.
