Shooting yourself in the head's a hit or miss, you usually have to hit the brainstem, which can be very hard to do. It's easier to get other people to shoot you.

Just make sure to get some height. You're probably not gonna reach terminal velocity (you need 1500ft or so to reach it), but falls of that sort can be survived if you're not careful.
