Like bosses as generic enemies wandering the level. Or Patches the Spider selling you loot. Tier 3 Caryll Runes.
Its really worth doing. Just generate and clear one. I'm sure you'll find some interesting rooms or layouts and traps. I had a root dungeon experience one time where the floor crumbled beneath me... twice. So I ended up falling through two floors of the dungeon and getting totally lost and swarmed by rats. There's even interesting boss arena possibilities like an Oil Floor while fighting Pthumerian Elder or fighting Ebrietas in a room with a huge chasm.

For Strength and Skill, I believe the softcaps are 25 and then 50 for both.
Strength for Strength weapons, Skill for Skill. Skill also ups the damage of visceral attacks. Keep in mind, most weapons benefit from pumping two or even more stats, but will usually be mainly one stat that can gain SOME benefits from pumping another. For example a weapon may be a Strength weapon, but benefit from pumping bloodtinge and arcane.
