There's -hundreds- of Fabric and High-quality Fabric on the MB, for 3-5g each. It only comes from shop-bought costumes, which always drop exactly the same fabric amounts when salvaged, depending on the costume.
Currency exchange makes it cost about 15-16g for a costume that can give 9g in sellable fabrics, or maybe 20-24g for one that can give 16-18g. This is my point. Where the hell is this fabric coming from and why is there so much of it?
I figured people were buying costumes with hongdongs or ncoin and selling fabrics for gold but this is just a massive loss over just buying gold from the exchange.

Back when I played on NA at 260 ping I found BM was still one of the better classes for high ping, PvE or PvP. Although it sucks that your draw stance anicanceling is a little slower, outside of that your skill tend to be more burst and decision-making based as opposed to anicanceling your way to victory.

The reason is your premium rank goes up every time you make a purchase. So people with disposable gold will buy outfits, salvage and sell the fabrics and make almost what they spent on them back. The loss is worth it if you want the premium rank benefits.
This is how I got to premium rank 4 at the moment, which is not much. But I know people who are doing it to get to rank 9.
Also, there's a good chance high fabrics will increase in price during the next patch. So people are also stocking up on those as well.
At some point, doing this might even make you more gold than you spend.
Also, imo hongmoon coins are only going to go up in price as gold inflates in value.

One final fabric-related question. I hear a lot of whine about the RNG of the transmutable fabric pouches and failure rates. I was after the Red Dwarf outfit from the regular outfit pouch - this seems to be 4 Fabric, with a transmute cost of 5SS and 1g.
If the transmute fails, i'll just lose the 5SS and 1g wont I, or is there also an additional chance for the transmute to produce something that isnt the guaranteed outfit pouch?

Apparently just play defensively until they burn out all their Chi on spinning like retards, then when they run away to get distance to throw their sword (which returns most of their spinning chi) iframe that rather than blocking. If you block it they still get the chi back, if you iframe it they dont. Then go and whack them when they cant spin.
That's the theory at least. In practise it never seems to work. I'm supposed to be the LBD hard counter but i can never get through their defenses. By the time i out-chi them they've done enough knockups that unless I literally 100->0 them in one single stun I lose.
