Also, is importing EV worth it for the DLC characters? Thought of picking it up for the PS4 but the english version is pretty much the same isn't it?

call their customer service, tell them it was damaged in transit because of their packaging and tell them to resend it again in a proper box. Is anyone else finding parrying to be exceedingly difficult to pull off? It seems like there's a delay between pressing the button and actually parrying, and between that and the horrible end lag on EVERYTHING I just can't get it properly timed.
Also holy fuck those wolverine mooks are infuriating, all they do is circle around you and break your combo by suckerpunching you from literally any angle and staggering you. They feel impossible to dispatch in any other way beside just spamming air heavy attacks.
In SV they were just annoying because they moved a lot but here they're annoying because they stun you and there's nothing you can do besides try to block or spam the burst art

Can I change the character who is modeling the underwear for the underwear lottery?

I think wolf women are surpassing bear women as my most hated of the mooks. They are so fucking frustrating to fight it is not even funny.
It's just an endless swarm of chipping, combo-breaking shits. I can't even use Frantic mode or Shinobi moves to deal with them because I need that for the extra health bar when I have to fight Yumi, Ryobi and Ryona all at once.

That mission is especially awful. My best advice is to focus on Ryoubi first before you even take on the mooks because otherwise she'll constantly interrupt you with her aimbot breach art. Kafuru's lvl 2 art is enough to take out like 3/4 of a senran's health if most/all of the hits connect with your target so you should be able to take her out without even letting her transform.
Yumi and Ryouna on their own aren't that big of an issue. It really cannot be stressed how much all the fucking interrupts in this game spoil the combat. It worse than all of Bayo 2's unlaunchable enemies

pretty much the only thing I can do with any character except the actually fast ones like imu or murakumo is just do 1-2 attacks, dash the fuck away because im about to be stunlocked and then do another 1-2 attacks. there's no room for combos because fucking everything stuns you.

I've dropped down to easy for this mission. If there's one thing I appreciate about this game right now it's that it doesn't seem to block progression if you change difficulties mission to mission.

All of the other missions I've been able to complete on Medium even after some attempts. I just really dislike Kafuru's moves, her weird ranged attacks and she just isn't fun to play. Like Yozakura, I thought a girl with giant gauntlets would be great as a brawler but she doesn't move or attack well at all.
Strangely the one I thought I would hate based on SV, Katsuragi, is good fun to play. And Yomi, who I've not played before, is just the best.

...Well fuck. Even though they're technically the same game, the NA and EU versions have separate PSN IDs. That would mean that DLC from one region shouldn't work with a copy from the other region.
If you're curious as to why this might matter at all, when the Hong Kong version of Estival Versus was released you could use a JP PSN account to download the Ikkitousen DLC yet play it on your Hong Kong version. It looks like that won't be possible on the NA and EU versions. Their IDs are unique to each other.

Depends on if either you're an Ikkitousen fan or like EV's fighting system enough to want three more characters. It actually happens to be 30% off right now and EV's had a permanent price reduction from 6900 to 4900 yen($20 off basically). The other advantage would be getting access to DLC sooner. Even though patch 1.19 came out it'll take a while before the English version updates to it.

There are some exceptions but that's generally how it goes.
Jasmine's level 1 ninpo is a little buggy in that although her character model disappears, her hurt box remains on the field. You can knock her out of it if you aim a level 1 ninpo where she's set to reappear.
This game pisses me off more than SV, but at least there's variety--not too much of a breeze on Easy.

I felt the same way first time I tried her. Her attacks felt really slow and clunky. She gets much much better after you level her up and unlock her combos.
The trick to playing Hanabi is to use her charge moves. You can hold square or triangle to make her attacks gaurd break and hit for tons more damage. Charging up her breech art is especially good for breaking through a crowd and building up lots of meter.
Fully leveled she straight up destroys people in a few supers.

The reason why I'm considering it at all is because of the missing panties in Estival Versus. Panties 1-120 are for the original cast. Panties 121-170 are for DLC characters. However, with all DLC and everything unlocked, panties #126-129 are missing. I think it's because they're reserved for new characters. The exact same thing happened when Kagura and Naraku were released.
