is some areas it stuggles to keep up (such as the poisonous fog area in faron woods) but otherwise its just more particles and better textures. most character models are impoved, particularly main characters (in game Ilia doesnt look quite as retarded as it seems in the trailers) i havent tried the cave of shadows or the poe lantern so i cant say for those. double stacking hero mode and ganon amiibo inb4 >supporting amiibo is hardcore and adds new gameplay challenges and makes it fresh. along with the fact that you can choose whether its mirrored or not. but in the end its still twilight princess so it has all the same flaws; 20 minute tutorial, vessel of tears (while toned down quite a bit), and forced wolf sections. but it also has the all the same pros; great dungeons, great music, interesting items (except spinner) enough collectables to keep you satisfied for a long time, good (mostly) bosses.

Honestly I doubt it, Miyamoto's putting all his eggs in the basket to market Star Fox Zero as some immersive, cockpit gimmick-fest (which I can't exactly blame him since selling a normal rail-shooter on the modern market is a losing battle) with development set aside for some retooled tower attack game, and there's only one Gamepad compatible, sooo.....

Star Fox Adventures and Assault (Haven't played enough of Command to compare) look way less annoying to play than Zero, in any case.

Every presentation i've seen of that game is them gawking at the novelty controls, and when they're not, it's rehashed Corneria with Wii-tier textures and incredibly clunky mech-chicken segments. It's almost completely derivative of a game that came out on 3DS a few years ago, except everything unique about it looks irritating, so what the heck?

Also let's be real, Miyamoto isn't doing some "apology" to fans of Star Fox by making a quasi-reboot of Star Fox 64, he's doing it because the man has a panic attack whenever more than two characters are talking on a single screen, and didn't even bother to figure out what happened to the IP after he outsourced it to two different devs, so rather than figure out who Panther is, why Andross's nephew defected to team Star Fox, Tricky ruling over the dinosaur galaxy, General Scales getting c u c k e d, whether Krystal became a renegade or not after her falling out with Fox etc. he just reverted back to the only thing he knows.

The man's inspiration for this game was walking between two pillars, that should tell you everything you need to know.

Nobody "ruined" Star Fox.

Rare gave up their own game just because Miyamoto suggested that "hey, your characters look similar to ours, why don't you use them instead" and retooled Dinosaur Planet into Star Fox Adventures. It was their creation that led to Nintendo essentially adopting one of the most popular female Nintendo characters and iconic furry spank which Rare isn't even under ownership of anymore since the Xbox buyout.

Star Fox Command was still a space-themed shooter but blended the mechanics of traditional Arwing scrolling with RTS style map control, and Star Fox Assault was basically a dope mix of Star Fox Arwing segments and Serious Sam for kids, and the multiplayer was some of the best local play you can have on Gamecube, I'd say maybe better than Star Fox 64 too.

It's not just about "controls," because Command did lean into annoying DS controls, but it took the Arwing setting and actually pushed the scope of it's gameplay beyond gimmicks, into something like an interactive table-top game. Star Fox Zero is an ugly, derivative game, with no competitive multiplayer to speak of, Walkers that control worst than the mech segments from Sonic Adventure 2, with scroll-breaking helicopter levels where you just crash around in tight corridors.

Even for as much flack as Adventures received (for some misguided reasons) it was still a beautiful, well animated game that in some ways played like a better Zelda than the actual games on Gamecube, or at least better than Twilight Princess.

However Star Fox Zero offers nothing outside modern Nintendo hardware novelty and some tower attack game everybody is gonna forget about. If you want another Star Fox 64, skip the headaches and grab 64 3D on 3DS (the voices sucks tho) but as a Star Fox fan I see almost nothing worthy hyping this up for, it's looks kinda shit.

That's second and it's really silly. The job was originally tomahawk and she was a injun with magic spirit powers, so the job command is shamanism. They added a cowboy hat to it and changed the name to hawkeye, but left the skill names as sidewinder, warhead, condor, eagle eye, sparrow and shit which doesn't make much sense for cowboys but would for a magic native. Aimee's accent in English is hilarious too.
