I hate this Ninja Rape Cave and its Master Ninjas, /feg/. Should I give up on waiting until my units to reach Lv 20 to promote them?
I finished filling out the first gen support chart. Reading the supports was almost more tiresome than grinding up the ranks, because so many of them were boring or plain bad.
Although I remember Awakening having many lackluster supports as well, it seemed harder to pair up the first gen units to get all the kids in one route of Fates (aiming for compatibility, rather than eugenics). There's a poor balance of characters that have many nice supports and characters that have mostly terrible ones. It's a bummer to feel like some of the child units simply shouldn't exist with any of the mothers available to them.
Still, there were a few hidden gems in the supports. Got any favorites, /feg/?

They've done away with the narration and political map since Awakening, presumably because it was considered too old fashioned.
It doesn't help that the story was written by someone who never wrote war stories before. Unlike even Awakening, most of the time there isn't any implication that there's a larger army under your troops aside from the playable units themselves.
when I first heard about this game I thought Conquest / Birthright would let you see the story through their POV during the war. I didn't expect them to actually be separate campaigns with their own story unaffiliated with the other versoin of the game. I also thought revelations would sort of combine the two stories together. Sort of like how Shining Force 3 did it (if anyone played the JP or fan translation of all 3 games)

Plus Charlotte has garbage synergy with Dread Fighter. She's tailor-made for her base class; it has enormous HP, Strength, and even Skill, while having equal Speed growth to Dread Fighter. Dread Fighter's main advantage over Fighter is Resistance, which Charlotte can't take advantage of because her Resistance is trash to begin with.

Why are the male units in Conquest such shitters compared to the females? Xander, Niles, and Kaze are good, but the only real reason I'm lugging around Jakob, Keaton, Leon, and Laslow is gender equality. I like her. Her struggle against insecurity seems especially obvious compared to the generic tsundere, and she shows her sweet side often. She's generally so quick to correct her instinctive snappish responses, and she doesn't take pleasure in making anyone feel bad, so it's hard to be offended by any aggression from her.
In me, she inspires a more sympathetic, want-to-comfort response than an annoyed one.

That's why I'm mentioning DW7 - it had movesets based on the weapon used, rather than the character chosen. Although each character still had one unique attack with their favorite weapon and two unique Musou attacks. I think a system like that, but replacing "weapons" with "classes" could work well for the first entry of a FE musou.
There'll be generic enemy officers too, so class based movesets likely would have to be made anyway, just make those good enough for the player too.

i know some people want a revelation tier list but i'm wondering if I should take a different approach in creating it.
there's basically two phases of Revelation in terms of how you use units
Chapters 6-15 and 16-Endgame
6-15 has units like Kaze/Keaton be useful in some way, whereas 16-onwards is full on Royal Rumble. Some units like Reina/Camilla manage to be useful for both even if they fall off slightly near the end. So its hard to say whether Ryoma/Camilla is better when they have different roles and you should use both whenever possible.
So it might be

earlygame units that are useful the entire game even if they aren't perfect near the end(camilla for example)
lategame people (ryoma)
earlygame units that fall off hard post chapter 17(kaze)
pure utility people (charlotte/subaki/niles) that have situation usefulness
bad units that are never helpful(nyx)

I would just pick a roster balanced off the main characters and maybe 1-2 important characters from their respective game.
For example from 7 it could look like:

From 8 it could be like:

I wouldn't call it necessary. Dork Flier doesnt really fix her flaws, just enhances what she already has. Galeforce comes too late to really get around her squishiness, and she'll still have accuracy issues against faster enemies
