As much as you can if it is your first time. Craft adamantite or titanium armor and get weapons that pierce. The head hits for over 200 damage on expert.Use the nimbus rod and the daedalus stormbow if you want to make it too easy.

I'm playing it with some friends right now.
We're all having fun using things we've never used before. I'm using the fossil armor set and Javelins from the Hoplites as well as Frost Minnows I've fished up. Probably gonna use them against WoF once we get there, too.
