shit game
Yo guys, my friend is pressuring me into going to a local HS tournament on Monday.
I'm bad at the game and don't play it often. I've got a tempo mage deck, and a midrange druid deck, because they were cheap for me to craft.
What other deck can I make? You need 3 different classes. I want to play warrior and have around 4k dust, but not enough for p2w warrior. I've got all the wings and stuff from the raids, no cards from the new packs though.
What's the current meta? What are the top decks?
>aggro emoting "well play" when he has lethal
Why are these guys even playing this game?
>paladin

Those decks have the same problem shadow form decks always have: they lack card draw and are heavily dependent on a good opener as a result.
They can win against anything if the opener is good but that doesn't happen often enough.

sended on turk servr
What's the best deck to climb comfortably from rank 4 to legend? I'm playing druid now and it's okay but the game gives me nothing but zoolocks and tempo mages
>>128760537
I feel like worgen patron is more bullshit, though I'm not sure of it's popularity currently compared to anyfin.
The card draw is way better and the healing is better, it's even built-in to the class on top of shit like shield block and armorsmith. They can abuse the fuck out of acolyte and they have 2 mana sprint, they have better weapons and to top it all off, they have patron (which is already hard enough for most decks to deal with).
>>128762184
Worgen Patron requires far more cards to activate the combo and anifyn got better curve
>>128762139
Secretdin, depends how you define "comfortable" though. It'll be braindead and easy but you'll feel dirty doing it.
>>128762139
I'm finding Highlander Warrior to be incredibly comfy for laddering, games just kinda take long
>>128762386
Not really, considering anyfin has to draw, play, and kill all 5 of it's murlocs for it to get really powerful. They're also running crap like doomsayer without the ability to freeze.
Like... patron worgen can actually win before turn 10, anyfin usually doesn't even play the card on turn 10 even if it's in hand. Even worse you NEED to find and kill the warleaders, if you draw the chargers without the warleaders they're weak as fuck.
>>128762747
You do not even need all the murlocs if you can use anyfin twice in a row
Just by having paladin class cards, they can construct really powerful curve that is hard to beat
>>128762139

I N F I N I T E V A L U E
>>128762928
Yeah but it's just generally inconsistent and slow. I mean yeah they CAN construct a really powerful curve, but they can also draw a bunch of garbage especially since a lot of the stuff in their deck is really expensive.
Meanwhile patron worgen literally tops out with three 5-mana cards (loatheb and patrons) and has something like 12 or so 2-mana cards. You can just outright win the game against shit like zoo or combo druid with turn 4 bite turn 5 patron inner rage. You don't have to wait forever to draw both of your fucking 10 mana cards to win, and anyfin loses a lot specifically because it has to wait so long to do shit unless it gets an amazing hand.
Also you just can 't compare lay on hands or solemn vigil to battle rage and acolyte with a million activators and shield block and inventor (which also has synergy with rage). Patron still has the same insane synergy and card draw potential it always did before the nerf, it's just that now warsong has been swapped out for single copies of the worgen combo (worgen/task/rampage/charge).
I mean don't get me wrong anyfin is a fine meme deck but other paladin decks are going to be more consistent over the course of a lot of games and it's just outclassed by patron warrior (either grom or worgen versions). It's fun and viable but ultimately mediocre because it's so slow and needs a lot of things to go right over a lot of turns. Patron can start fucking your shit up with weapons, cycling through it's deck, and gaining armor from the get-go, it doesn't have to wait to do ridiculous combo shenanigans.
>>128763726

>>128762928
>Just by having paladin class cards, they can construct really powerful curve that is hard to beat
You either run powerful curve based on paladin class cards, or you run Doomsayer, Wild Pyro, Acolyte of Pain and all these murlocs, extra draw and heals.
You need to cut at least 10 cards that are never used in paladin decks while Warrior just adds Worgen and Charge, because all the other cards he needs to use to activate Worgen he runs anyway because they are staple in most Warrior decks.

over a sample size of 15,000 packs openings you'd expect about 40 cases of that happening which curiously enough is roughly the amount of times there was a gap of 39 packs

The claim is that you can't open more than 40 or more packs (of the same set!) without opening a legendary
Disproving it is very easy, since I'm claiming it cannot happen a definite disproval would be only a single case of it happening
However for some reason despite hundreds or thousands of unpackings being recorded not a single one of them breaks the rule so everything points to it being true

oh okay this shit 'aint nearly as bad
2 discard effects is real iffy, you could look into replacing Soulfires with Dark Bombs and even then they're not fantastic. A single Mortal Coil is good enough
you still need eggs, you've got plenty of activators in Defender, Abusive, Void Terror, and Power Overwhelming
2 Owls is a bit much imo, and Wrathguard isn't that great
you're missing high value cards like Void Caller and Imp Gang Boss and stuff that allows you to have big tempo swings like Lotheb
I find that eggs are KEY to zoo. We all know thew good 'ol Power Overwhelming + Void Terror combo on eggs, but sometimes you're just not going to have those exact cards available to you so you have to make the best tempo plays available to you. As an example I would routinely do plays like t1 Voidwalker > t2 egg > t3 void terror on the egg. While it's not super-optimal-max-value-cumbuckets, it's still a 4/4 and a 3/5 for your turn 3 play. Clear the board when necessary and ALWAYS try and keep saturating your mana
If your opponent happens to have good answers or shits of you with some timely taunts/heals then that's just the name of the game. It's good to play around stuff that'll fuck your tight boipussy like Flamestrike/Consecrate ect... but Zoo is a deck that is highly reliant on powerful plays and utilizing its strong board presence to finish the game with surprise burst

>why do people say renolock is OP? I only lose to the other most OP class in the game
????
>>128777087
no neggs because I can never combo them. ever.
1 void walker 1 imp gang boss.
who should I swap out for gang bosses.
>>128777367
What evidence? And has he really stopped it for good, and now he's going to stay in the 200-300 viewer range, if even that?
Like... I thought the whole problem was that they couldn't do shit to stop him because "it might not be him, someone else might be viewbotting him instead of massan viewbotting himself" or some shit? That's what I remember hearing about the issue at least, idk what changed or if new evidence came out specifically damning massan.
>>128778109
just netdeck some zoo from the current season and call it a day
>>128776827
-2 Soulfires, -2 Wrathguard, -1 owl
+2 Impgangboss , +1 Loatheb and + 2 dire wolf alpha or +1 wolf and +1 dark iron dwarf.
>>128778145
Druid is better than both. Paladin gets more hate for being brainless than OP.
>>128778145
I know what you mean, but when almost half of your matches are against them...
>>128778482
Play Face hunter then. In ladder I've had generally 60-70% winrate, but something crazy like 80-90% vs paladins.
Last night in a tournament I played Leeroy turn 5 to set up hero power lethal on the next turn, his knife juggler actually fucking killed Leeroy and I still won next turn. You can literally spend your turn 5 giving paladin 2 1/1s and passing, and still consistently win you're that favored.
>>128764547
Keep, he's good in current inspire preist decks on ladder. And he's fun
so.... lifecoach is autistic, yeah?
>>128778175
listen you fucking mongoloid the reason you can't combo with eggs is because they're NOT IN YOUR FUCKING DECK
you've got the best activators for them out of all the classes in warlock, and even if you dump one on the board on t2 or whatever and don't have a way to crack it open it still serves as insurance against board clears. It's a sticky minion that has been in every iteration of Zoo, and you're an absolute fool for not including them
do like this guy>>128778379 says and google "zoolock." Pick out whichever decklist you think is best. Otherwise drop the Soulfires and the second Owl, the Wrathguards and Harvest Golems in favor of Lotheb, Imp Gangbang Bros, a second Void Terror, a single Mortal Coil, and some FUCKING EGGS

Priests require a heavy dust investment. Try an aggro deck like Shaman or Hunter untill you can grind enough dust, or a mage, they can get away with cheap cards.
>>128778807
>inspire priest
wat
>>128778903
Icehowl's the only one that sees reasonable "competitive" play. Hogger would be second.
>>128776946
>>128778826
At the highest levels of play, you have to analyze and critically examine a lot. Whether it's chess, sports, whatever. I understand on 4chan that opening a spreadsheet is synonymous with autism, but if you want to be better than everyone else, sometimes you have to review some footage.
>2016
>Still no option to vs with pre-made decks
>>128779024
Yes, there are inspire shadow priests on ladder now, here's one defeating kibler at rank 5. He got his ass handed to him so hard he and several HS members copycatted the decklist

Is there a replacement for spider tank in mech mage, It doesn't feel like the card is helpful

You mean when they Fireball it after you play it and the Flamewaker pings land on it, and the A-ha wizard pops out?

Every. Goddamn. Time.

>>128781158
Nope
Argus is extremely good but I'm unsure of picking up another 4 drop.
So, so far this deck is doing halfway decent and is fun as hell. But I thought I'd throw it to hsg and see if I could get some tips or advice on it.

why people want to reach rank5? are the higher ranks inaccessible?

Can someone help me do this quest? Arrowfiend#1969, NA servers. Thanks.

well played xd
>>128782116
If you don't know what card to take in that situation you should probably just uninstall
>>128782413
rank 5 is when you get real prizes at the end of the season. It's also where winstreak ends and the real games begin. Ranks 25 to 5 account for MAYBE half of the grinding it takes to get to legend, ranks 5 to legend are hell.
>>128782116
Enjoy your 12 wins. I would pick kodo.
>>128782593
I could see an argument for argus or kodo there, to be honest. I mean, he's a paladin, so he should in theory always have some dudes to pop the buff down on.
>>128782596
>ranks 5 to legend are hell.

>tavern brawl
>druid coins lorewalker chow turn 1
Fuck you buddy
>>128783398
yes
people who have a rank 5 chest get better rewards than people with rank 15 chests
specifically, I think getting to rank 5 guarantees a golden epic once the season ends, plus additional goodies
I just started playing the Backrock campaign.
Will I ruin my fun if I create counter decks?
I couldn't beat the first battle with my standard decks. I made one full of big creatures and won it in like four, five turns.
>>128783398
you get a legend cardback (if you hit legend), and some extra gold cards if you hit 4-legend
you cant winstreak bonus past 6 which is why 5 is usually the goal point
>>128764031
Hope this bitch gets what he deserves. Also I hope InormousD gets fucked.
which one, /hsg/? consecration or argent protector?
im not the greatest at arena
