I liked Ragna's character arc too. He started out like a stereotypical edgy 90s antihero but quickly developed into something else.
I thought Mai had a nice character arc that progressed pretty well. It was a gradual process and had its ups and downs, but she managed to overcome the paranoid mentality instilled in her by her father and learned to open up and trust others. And she also came to accept herself as she was. Also I liked her personality since she was nice without being dumb like some of the other girls.

I don't think that Mai gets much hate, at least compared to some of the other girls. But that could be because she is a minor character in the grand scheme of things. Though she also has the advantage that her personality is pretty inoffensive and she doesn't really do anything stupid or bad to others. They've burned themselves out over central fiction arcade at the moment, Revealator fags got all asshurt and went back to waiting for it's console release with Dizzy and the accent core plus games. If you want activity there you'll likely only get it once Central Fiction 2 is avaliable to the public and both fightingfags and storyfags will start oozing over Izanami/Saya and hopefuls like Jubei, Mai and Alpha 1.

I have played a bit since I got the game and the only character I've been able to click with has been bullet. I like her a lot, but I still want to at least give other characters a fair chance in the hopes I might like them as much or more.
The thing is I haven't been able to get them to click the same way. With bullet I just screwed around in challenge/training and I just felt like I understood stuff and experimented and discovered a ton about her. With other characters (even easy to learn ones like ragna/jin/noel) I just can't do shit and feel useless. How can I get into learning other characters?

True, the pattern on the background of the Remix Heart covers isn't necessarily Mai's crest, though it does looks like one. I wouldn't be surprised if that turns out to be that though.

We all know Mori does his own thing in regards to females. Mu being a prime example of just being a fan-service design just for the sake of it even when his own team didn't feel that the design was really necessary.

Anyone kinda hate how flat Litchi's character ended up becoming after Calamity Trigger? At first I thought she was torn between two existances, the one that desperately wants to find and return Arakune to normal no matter what and the one who wants to help and protect people in Orient Town and the Kaka Village. She even had stuff like this in Continuum Shift still but by Chronophantasma Roy's all she cares about, she was even willingly to throw away everyone's lives for the off shoot chance that she gets to hang out with a new fake Roy Relius would create along with a new fake Ada and Ignis created for Carl in a new world. Okay, they aren't fakes, they'd be "real" since Relius's world would of been THE world but they wouldn't be the Roy,Ada or Ignis they knew. Hakumen doesn't even see this Tsubaki as HIS Tsubaki or this Ragna as his brother because his timeline is gone.
Carl's even more dillusional then before in the Embryo as he continues to call Nirvana a tool and does not seem to realize Nirvana houses Ada's soul still. Amane is also no longer interested in him because of this.

I think everyone hates what Litchi ended up becoming. CP was pretty terrible for most of the cast, but Litchi especially because not only did it make her crazy-stupid, CPEX showed us what her relation to Roy was in the past and it wasn't anything special.
Can't say nothing about the fake/real stuff. I guess one of the points of CPEX that Ragna keeps bringing up is that there's no real distinction. I disagree with that assertion, but if we look at Litchi as the example of all of the hero's virtues gone horribly wrong, I guess that's a thing they could end up doing: she's retardedly stubborn and never gives up on something incredibly stupid, and takes not being able to distinguish between real and fake to the nth degree. Doesn't make her any more likeable, but maybe that's what they're going for.

Why do I get the feeling Naoto's going to cock things up massively for everyone due to him being here? He seems to be a take on the hero's never give up attitude gone wrong as well. Naoto's presence is threatning this entire world's existance and one of the characters in said world is starting to fade away,too. Then again, Ragna's attitude towards these two nearly ended the world as well and if people are right, his attempt at saving Saya may end up causing some issues as well, especially if Saya really does get Izanami out of her and sees her beloved brother in heep of wounds and dying. I mean, if the murakumos are any indication she really,really loves Ragna and if she's got a hold of some of Izanami's power that could wind up being really bad.
