I used it and it worked, I can edit the textures just fine in Photoshop and upload them
but it's hard matching the colors and align textures without pre-visualizing it in 3D

You can upload texture and pick local to preview without using upload costs. When you edit the file in your texture editing program of choice and save it, the file updates in SL to reflect the new edit.
