What does a system transfer do that we can't do other ways? Games can be reinstalled, saves transfered, etc. I don't know about streetpass stuff. Can you easily move our Miis, saves for the streetpass games, and can you install the streetpass games as .cia file? If all that is possible, then I think we should write a guide for system transferring the CFW way.

Yesterday I tried removing emuNAND from an SD card using diskpart (https://gbatemp.net/threads/tutorial-removing-emunand-from-sd-card.387732/) and the card ended up not being able to be formatted. The few times I did manage to format it it would be corrupted or whatever the fuck when I tried to copy shit to it. I basically used every partition manager I could find, including booting into GParted to no avail. As a last ditch effort I put the empty, unformatted card into Emunand9 on my 3DS and reformatted Emunand. For some fucking reason that worked, and the card has been fine ever since. I don't know what I'm gonna do about switching Emunand out of it later, but I'll probably go straight into trying to rebuild the MBR from GParted or something.

you can tell which you're in by making a visual reference for yourself. just make some folders or something in whichever one so you know which is which.

When you exit System Settings it puts you into Sysnand.
Format whichever one you want, just make sure they have different themes when you're done. I formatted my SysNAND and kept all my stuff on EmuNAND.

9.2 is for use in sysnand, 9.5 is for use in emunand.

you can use sysupdater to update to a specific firmware version as long as you put the right files in the right place and the 10.3 firmware will be uploaded and verified within a day most likely
if you're unsure, just turn wifi off when you run sysupdater so you don't accidentally update it to 10.4 but even then it's not a big deal, you can always delete emunand and try again if you fuck it up. that's why we do things on emunand and not sysnand.

use L and R triggers to change boxes. this is shuffle mode, it will rotate between all the ones you've selected when you open/close your lid.

Yes, yes. The point is that you upgrade your EmuNAND so that all of your old games work as you expect them to. You obviously can't upgrade your SysNAND and many games/game updates need 9.3+ to work, so leaving them in there would be a shit decision.

if you're on 9.2 emunand, set up https://github.com/yellows8/hblauncher_loader to load the 10.3 payload and then update with sysupdater and you should still have hbl access once you update, i can't think of any reason you wouldn't
