Here's a fun story.
I had a friend-of-a-friend who got into the game. Despite myself and my other friends' best efforts to come PvP and shoot shit, he became a cretinous, subhuman miner/mission runner. Rather than training for a decent mission running ship like a Raven, or an incursion ship like a Vindicator, Machariel, or Nightmare, he chose to train for a Paladin.
For running level 4 missions.
Why? Because it doesn't use ammo. He trained all the way to T2 lasers so he could get to Scorch pulses. Which he then realized are a consumable ammo type because they're T2.
He quit EVE after that. You'd think someone so severely autistic that they need to use a ship that doesn't use ammo would be perfect for EVE, but I guess not.
Kinda sad, I could actually use his character and Paladin for jewing C4 wormhole sites or something useful, but I doubt he'd give it to me, and I hate its name.

if you are flipping in station, which is what it sounds like, i recommend train margin trading to IV at your soonest convenience. i avoided it for a long time thinking "what difference does it make", but it does in fact make a lot of difference. It allows you to put up three times more value in buy orders than you have capital for (and trade income scales with value invested).
personally, i prefer to update one or sometimes two times a day. to that end, i moved to a slower hub and started trading in faction/deadspace mods, implants, boosters, etc. the volumes are lower but the margins are higher, and with the limited amount of orders that i had at the time that worked out a lot better for me than having orders in lower margin stuff.
if you prefer a more active style, you can make plenty of money in a higher activity hub on high volume stuff by being present and updating your orders more or less continuously. you will make money as long as you are active and you will stop making money when you log off.i stopped station trading and started buying in one station, courier contracting to another, and selling there. haven't looked back.this doesn't use margin trading.
