You could always try painting the details on if the bigly has little divots where the details are. I've been doing that with my smaller YW Bandai kits. (Though do you need to paint them specifically with stuff like plastic-based model paint like from Tamiya Plastics? You're supposed to save, find the Yo-kai, and if you don't get them, reset the game by either using the Home screen or just press start and Title. Same thing.
That resets the spots. Or use Mirapo to travel to a different area (If Downtown, go to Uptown/Blossom Heights/etc)

I do like how you portray Keita having to work through personal issues to come to accept his feelings, it's fitting for his character.
And while not expecting the surprise that Kanchi brought, it does work as a plot device to ease Keita's mind.
Only noticed a couple of misspellings this time around, very minor ones but that's nit picking for you.
Also, the lack of Yo-kai roaming about is a bit off, but I suspect you do that as to not distract Keita and the story from the end goal as I'm guessing Whisper and Jibanyan would only complicate the matter.
In my opinion, it's going smoothly so far but I am hoping to see it take Keita just a bit longer to come to terms with his revelation, but that is personal preference.

You are recommended to fuse as soon and early level as possible so that you can level out their loafing. If you end up fusing at 99, most yo-kai would be stuck forever as a loafer/carefree individual.
Think of it this way: it is better to get a Level 15-19 Castelius Max through fusion and train it up from there than it is with befriending a level 65-70 Castelius Max from the trees or from fusing high-leveled Casteliuses.

I'll be honest and admit that I've been actively avoiding writing youkai into the story. This is my first fanfic so I've been constantly worried that I'll ended up not portraying the characters correctly so keeping it as Shota Watch instead of Youkai Watch has just been easier. At the least, you aren't being shitposted on your story, which is a good sign.
As for a title, Shota Watch (to coin a phrase from one of your former posts) is an option. Maybe something with a bit of subtlety if you want like 'Keita's Fading Summer' in regards to his fading innocence or something.
