SDHC cards have FAT32 format.
Microsoft has the copiright to that format up to 32GB. Thats why cards over 32GB are called SDXC and come in the exFAT format.
If you see a card over 32 GB called SDHX its probably a SD with a 2GB/8GB flash and a modded chip to tell the OS its of a higher capacity.

When I put EmuNAND9 on it, the guide said to just copy the 3ds folder to the SD, so I did that.
Now I am trying to do a Complete EmuNAND Setup, but I now get the message:

And nah the game will probably just not open and you can just delete it and try again, at the very worst if the emunand fucks up irreparably you can always restore from emunand.bin.
EVEN then if you dont have an emunand backup you can just make a new one by cloning sysnand to emunand

You need to boot normally, since this will take you to sysnand, make a folder there then when you try to boot into emunand and you see the same folder, you know you have failed or sysnand and emunand are linked

The Home Menu is in memory all the time, allowing you to return quickly when pressing the home button. Some games, like Smash, can take memory from the Home Menu for the game if they need it. This necessitates a "hot reboot" to prepare the memory for the Home Menu again. At least, this is what I gather. I think this is more of a problem with the o3ds's lower RAM.

You need to install the "Ambassador Certificate" aka a GBA_FIRM cia. Otherwise you can't play them. If you want to use inject ROMs you need a patched GBA_FIRM. You have to install it in sysnand, but it's safe because it's not an essential title.

Call it Emunand
Reboot the 3ds and just let it boot normally so you are in sysnand
If the folder isn't there you have made the folder in emunand
Do all the steps to get back to the HBL and start cakes
Look for the folder
If it is there you now have a definitive sign that you are in emunand.
