You want to get an early botrk and follow up with phantom dancer or shiv. You need attack speed, or else you just won't trade. Use your Q as often as possible, the steroid helps you stack your passive and ultimately win trades. Your ultimate will win team fights if your team peels. Just practice and have faith.

The key to success with varus is knowing when to farm and when to roam. Your lack of mobility really punishes you for leaving lane, and makes you easy to kill in a fight.
