Do I blame Monolith for some of this writing or 8-4 who may have localized some shit wrong?
On multiple occasions through normal and affinity missions, people have refereed to others who've gotten thier mims destroyed as dead. To the point where some lady wanted to hold a funeral for her dead husband. From what I understand everyone already believes that the lifehold holds thier original bodies and they're just asleep and hooked up via wifi to thier bodies. And if they die they can get a new mim (i.e, the irina affinity mission).
Anyway after the ending twist, which I assume wasn't kept secret.It's revealed that there are no bodies in the lifehold and you wont be coming back because the consciousness system was also destroyed (cue X files sound). Anyway It would make sense then for people to value thier lives so much then and mourn over deaths etc. But the amount of times death feels too "real" for people who believe they wont even actually die is annoying and I want to know if I should blame the localization or Monolith.
Also, that one lady who was asking whether or not mims can have children. U wot? Am I to believe literally every human wasn't briefed on their capabilities before/after being activated?

After beating it, go straight to Ares, since it helps with grinding everything else you will want to get in the postgame.

Skells are fun and everything but I've yet to have a single balanced fight with skells/dolls/memes, and ground combat is painful. Trying to sneak past enemies also feels worse; either they won't notice you EVER or they spot you from a mile away while they're underground/flying off in the distance, and they just won't fucking let up when you try to run, which is a problem when enemies levels are not balanced ANYWHERE and collectibles are even rarer than before. In Monado, you can backslash a level 7 enemy and be done with it if you're redoing low level quests later on, but you have to do an entire fucking combo to kill a tiny enemy many levels below you. Oh, and good equipment is a rarity at any level in X. I assume at level 60 you start getting pieces of equipment with 3 empty slots, and I also assume that BS pieces of equipment needed to get them are easier to come by then too; meanwhile Monado not only has plenty of open slotted pieces of equipment, but also has a much better way of crafting augments/gives some rare pieces without MMO tier grinding. I'm sure I could think of more given time.
Story, you only get two characters with you who speak during any story mission. You find L, notice his funny accent, bring him back and never speak with him again except about opening a tiny store. Indeed, you have over a dozen one hit wonders like him. And the player never REALLY gets any interaction, Elma may as well be the main character with how much you have to bring her "bad AI that never backslashes from behind" ass and how much her decisions decide the story.
Visuals are another thing. Block hair would get a pass if this was also a Wii game but it's a Wii U game and I haven't seen a single hair movement. Walking through an area and nothing loads until you've passed it is also unacceptable. I also liked the armor designs of the previous game, and they also missed the chance to make a skell that looks like Mechonis/Bionis.

I know enemies have certain % resistances, but do they also have flat damage reduction defense? I'm trying to figure out the autoattack damage calculation and nothing it working out exactly. As far as I could tell it was simply Weapon Attack + (Attack Power / Ammo) and this seemed to be correct, except my autos are consistently doing ~5-15 less damage than the calculation suggests, testing on low-level enemies that have 0% resistance to my weapon types (according to the spreadsheet).
I want to just chalk it up to a flat damage reduction but even that would be inconsistent since it seems to be reducing my melee attacks by more than my ranged attacks, despite using phys weps for both of the tests.

Pump meele augments and choose to specialize in one element. Make sure your meele accuracy for the skell is around 500-550 so you can hit everything.

go to FN 504, from there there is a narrow path that ends up in a ganglion fortress where everything 1 hit kill you.
If you are sneaky/ jump from the right place with your skell, at the end of the cliff of the fortress is a warp pad.
use it and you get teleported to the giant things that float in the sky., go from one to other and get in the teleport pad. that will transport you back to the ground on another location. then explore...

Is there anything radically different between the lv50 and lv 30 skells besides stats? I played around with all the lv 30 ones and my favorites were leilah and formula, with the veerus up there too. I just dont see a reason to save up for the 50 amdusias this time when i can afford my favorites already.

I've been using bastion warrior for everything all game mixed with dual guns. Basically overloaded on hp / defense and evaision with ghostwalker. Unhitable and endless taunts keep my party alive.
So how exactly do "melee combos" work? I'm using Fast Forward and Supreme Sword while in my Skell/Doll since I only have melee weapon arts because RNG. Are they just when you do a soul voice correctly? Sometimes the cooldown goes down by 50% when I do that but more than often nothing happens.

Skills don't affect skells except for Synchrony. For Fast Forward on ground combat, when you use a melee art (orange arts or green/purple/blue cast with a melee weapon), the following art of any type, even ranged, will start at half cooldown. Supreme Sword works the same but the next art will do more damage.

Well triggering cockpit view in skell combat resets all cooldowns. Besides that when fighting multiple enemies, Elma has a melee soul voice after killing one enemy that reduces recast time by 50%. I don't remember if that's main CD or secondary CD.
