Okay, here's one explanation I could maybe accept: The rates are normal, but there's a tiny chance of getting three extra 5* servants. Most people won't get anything more than the guaranteed ones, but a tiny portion will get those insane rolls, post them on twitter and tell their friends about it. These few outliers get all the attention and people will be tempted to roll as well thinking they'll have a really chance of rolling extra 5*s. Everyone gets suckered, but it's still perfectly legal, because people only expect higher rates because of unsupported rumors.

Well, there is a rate up for the limited time 5* within the 5* pool, but we don't really know by how much.
By rolling on the 7th, you eliminate more chances of you rolling an Orion, or a duplicate that you have.
And I don't think there's really a limited time servants that you wouldn't want. Hell, even if its a dupe NP lv up on limited time 5* is pretty amazing.
