Hey, I just recently got everything installed and running, but I'm having a problem where whenever I try to load a character (whether premade/default or custom) into the classroom, the game crashes. I'm really not sure what's causing the crash or what to do about it. My game's in the proper directory and I even double checked the path in regedit.
Does anyone have any idea what's going wrong?

What are the prerequisites to get hairs to change in AAFace? all the other parts of the program work just fine (faces, glasses, tan...) but the input field for hairs does absolutely nothing.
I do have plenty of hairs beyond 134 (including the ones found in HEXAOC) so it's not like the slots are empty either. Is it not supposed to work like I think it is or what am I missing here?

That's usually a version issue, most commonly seen in no-install versions of the game. Are you sure you patched your game to v12 and are using the correct launcher? The DB has a handful of cards that can crash your game, but it's like 5 in a sea of 20000.

Not really. I've noticed that threads tend to fall into broad categories, with a few outliers.
First, there are the threads that center around avatarfags and are shit. /ffxivg/ is a good example. Posts asking for clarifications of game systems or mechanics frequently get 0 replies, even if it's common knowledge. The people in these threads are focused on the social dynamics between various thread personalities. The game itself is barely discussed, and most screenshots tend to come from said avatarfags. Don't expect anyone to help you with anything.
Second, there are threads where the game is shit and everyone knows it's shit but people still post there anyways. These are just as cancerous, although in a different way, as the first category. Kerbal Space Program illustrates this nicely.
Third are the mainstream esports game generals, like /sc2g/, /lolg/, dota, etc. These usually have the lowest word/post density, most posts are superfluous and people just care about mainstream teams or popular individuals performance. Feels like no one is actually playing the game themselves or discussing it
Fourth are the higher-quality tripfag-laden generals that are similar to the first category but where people at least take pride in their content. Known personalities tend to be modders who have at least contributed something tangible to other people's games. Example would be /tesg/, where most of the contributors have carefully modded their shit to have high quality graphics and the thread frequently caps images before it caps posts. People will insult you for being technically retarded but will also help you with your problems, to a point.

And then there is the bread and butter, the generals where people actually play and discuss the games, help each other out with tech support, discuss tactics, strategy, story, how to get better, how to win multiplayer games, etc. Tripfags and namefags kept to a minimum and usually actually ignored. There's still a judicious amount of shitposting and humblebragging. For some reason, they mostly tend to be weebshit and military-strategy focused, like Perssona general, Fire Emblem, /hgg/, Total War, World of Tanks, World of Warships, War Thunder, etc. I'd say they're 25% of all the generals currently commonly on this board and are the closest vision to how /vg/ would ideally function.
