I am in my second playthrough, and it seems like my Petrus doesnt seem to kill my Rhea, could it be a bug?
I rescued her from the catacombs (I killed Patches, I did not deny to be a cleric, after climbing I talked to him and he attacked me)
she is in the church.
After seeing her in the church and buying a few miracles, I cleared the whole dukes archives, returned hoping to see her dead, and she is still alive, praying.
Also, after killing seath I went to see Andre, then returned to the duke's archives to kill the Sigmeyer's daughter golem and couldnt find it.

I just beat this Devil May Cry motherfucker. Fifty hours over 3 years of slowly chipping away at the game and I've finally done it (though I only got serious and beat Tower Knight and Armour Spider at the end of August, so it's more like 40 hours over 4 months). But anyway, now I can move on to Dark Souls after I do the wholesome thing and lock away the Old One. No way I'm gonna kill the waifu in black, because I sorta rp'd my guy as being evil and wearing Yurt's armour and using magic before becoming religious and wearing Garl Vinland's armour and using miracles. Well, miracles and Firestorm, saved my life in the fight with Allant even though it barely ever hit him.

speaking of, gear works a little differently in this game than most RPG. you dont start out with shit gear and get progressively better and better gear. some gear is better than others, but for the most part, you can easily play through the entire game with your starting gear if you keep it upgraded. find a weapon youre comfortable with and keep it upgraded.
also, speed is tied to your equip load. keep it low and youll move, run, and dodge faster. the breakpoints are 25 and 50%

The problem with the dragon is that the ONLY way to avoid getting hit is to sprint from the INSTANT your foot touches the bridge, and go straight into the safe spot, without fighting. You'd only be able to do that if you knew beforehand. The damage is lower the first time it goes by, but still. Newer players might be at low health after Taurus, and just get killed by an unavoidable attack

Yes, but we're talking about a fresh player. If you saw the dragon, why would you run towards it? Your solution is extremely unlikely to happen for somebody who is on their first playthrough. The only two ways are to just stand at the trigger point then sprint back, or sprint non-stop forward, neither of which are something the vast majority of players, regardless of skill, would do. Not saying it can't be done, just that it won't happen for anybody who doesn't know about the drake prior

I'm not saying the dragon OHKOs people with the first flyby. If you're at full health you're fine, but a lot of players might be low health after Taurus. I just think it's a really cheap shot compared to most of the game. Even the pygmy ambush by the channeler is better since the enemies don't hit hard unless they're buffed, and are easy to kill.

And even if they do die, again, big whoop. It's literally the "Prepare to Die" edition of the game. Same thing with Seathe. That scripted event happens because by the time you reach him, you should be numb to dying and losing all your souls. If the Seathe encounter was the straw that broke a players back and made them rage-quit the game, they didn't deserve to win and they were never gonna have the patience necessary to git gud.
The entire point of the Souls games is to showcase that failure is a minor setback and that patience and perseverance are the keys to overcoming the seemingly impossible.
