All the WoWtards and muh open world people who are in love with huge maps for whatever reason. I'll take carefully constructed smaller maps with many important parts to them than overly huge maps full of nothing any day.
However, I will say that Tailfeather and Moghome do maintain a semblance of identity, particularly if you do the side quests in those regions. Falcon's Nest, Helix, and Camp Cloudtop are just kind of there, though.

The only HW area I didn't like was Coerthas Western Highlands, the Churning Mist, and Azys Lla because of how much of a mess it is. Other than that they have nice music and some pretty neat areas in them.
HW areas are not as good as the ARR areas but they compensate for being large and having miles better the music.
And for Jobs, that's really subjective. BLM is challenging but fun, I agree about BRD and MCH but people have fun playing it too, the only shit tank right now is PLD because the job designer is still a retard, DRG is easy to play once you get your groove, just list most Jobs.

It doesn't need to do that though because the effect of Divine Veil is already incredibly strong. The only issues with the skill are that the cooldown is too long to line up cleanly with the phase timings in any current fight, and that the shield being triggered by being cured by another player makes the skill unnecessarily clumsy.
What you're proposing would make it broken as hell unless the change also removed its ability to stack with Galvanize or Nocturnal Field.

One thing I did like about the ARR settlements is that every single one had a sidequest-line that really filled you in on the lore of the area. Yes, the HW settlements had them too, but I just feel like the ARR ones did them better.
For example, I can't really recall it too well, but I do remember enjoying the story of the Silver Bazaar quite well. Something about how they owed dues to Ul'dah and you manage to help them out of it.

Paladin in full eso has between 14000 and 18000 hp. My aspected helios with void ark and prototype gordian shit is 1100. Keeping in mind AST shields are 130%, making my shields worth 1430 unbuffed, 1716 with synastry. Succor numbers should be a little less.
So yes, it stacks for a whopping 2800 shield most times.
Now let's talk adloquiem. If my adlo does 2300 HP, and I cast it on a warrior, that's already a 2875 shield. Let's say I use Fey Illumination and Mantra. Then it becomes 4140. Now let's say it CRITS. That's a 12420 shield. THAT is potentially what you're competing with here. 1400 hp is NOTHING in the land of shields.
Now let's stack all of PLD's other shortcomings on top of this. Why on earth would you take a PLD if they didn't have SOMETHING strong enough to change the game like this? Do you honestly think a 1400 hp shield is enough to warrant losing nearly 500 raid dps?

I'm trying to set it so my pet skills are bound to shift+1, shift+2 and shift+3. I've accomplished this by making a macro for each skill, like so:

And this is fine since I mainly use Selene but it's annoying how the icons are greyed out when Eos is summoned, furthermore the icons don't display the skill cooldown timer.
I had two ideas for fixing this, neither of which worked:
1. Toggling overlapped hotbars with a separate pet summon macro [/ac Summon /hotbar display 6 on /hotbar display 5 off] - wont work because there's no way to set a single keybind to two hotkeys
2. Using the [/hotbar action "Skill Name" 3 1] syntax to change hotkeys, but naturally you can't specific pet actions with this command.
Is there any way of doing this that I'm missing?

I enjoyed every moment of the Forelands; especially the part where you started to climb the tower and hike along the mountain.

You can use option one like so:
Overlap two hotbars, make note of whichever one is on top when they overlap
Put the macros on the bar that is on bottom.
Turn both hotbars on for the pet that uses the hotbar on top
Turn only one hotbar on for the pet that uses the bottom hotbar
That way you can have the CD timers running for whatever pet you have out currently, but are using the same buttons for both

XIV's environments are just a large, large series of placed 3d props on a series of connected BSP terrains., so yeah, it's basically the equivalent of GMODing shit in to save the time of having to manually remodel the entire zone any time they want to add to it.

Hey, I think I might be onto something when it comes to using Cheat Engine with FFXIV, but I need some help.
I figured out how to change the appearance of any article of clothing to whatever you desire (barring race / gender restrictions, naturally).
However, the changes are only reflected in your character's preview window. I've tried everything I could think of to get the outfit to appear out in the open world, but it either doesn't show, or it removes the piece entirely and I'm unequipped in my desired slot.
Does anyone know a workaround for this? If we get this working, you can run around in any outfit you desire, and only YOU will be able to see it!

Step 1: Find the IDs of the items you want to toy with. You will need the ID of the item you currently have equipped, and the ID of the item that you want to "transmog" (the ID for being naked is 0, if you just want to prance around in your skivvies.)

Now, open up Cheat Engine and attach it to FFXIV.
Using a 4 Byte scan, pop in the number above and search for the Exact Value.
You may have to do some additional scans to help narrow down your results to a managable number. Equipping / unequiping in addition to changed / unchanged value scans can help with this.
Once you have a relatively small list, unequip the item you wish to change.
Look through your list of addresses. Those that changed to a 0 are the ones you seek. Add those to the window below and one of them should work. Have fun trying on all sorts of wacky outfits!
...In the preview window I mean. I still haven't figured out how to get the cosmetic changes to work in the actual game. For now, you're stuck playing dressup in the character window.

Romance isn't exactly given room to expand in this game in my opinion. There's a lot you can do together but nothing truly recreational, except for Choco racing which isn't for everyone. Plain back and forth RP is quite fulfilling I'm sure, but personally, it would have to have quite a bit of chemistry for it to workmuch like IRL
If you're just looking to get treated nicely and slowly have a bond of trust and respect form between you and a handsome guy, I would suggest that you continue posting. A lot of friends of mine have found really fitting RP girlfriends/wives/whatever through here, mainly because we're lonely and well-spoken, for the most part.
