Miracles are pretty mediocre in das, not as many utility miracles that aren't healing you can't get any faith based weapon buffs until around 50% through with the game and they only have 1 charge. Your main use of miracles would be Lightning/Great Lightning Spear, Force/Emit Force, and WoTGs, and maybe healing miracles but a quick trip to pinwheel's asshole gives lets you get 20 estus charges for humanity.
Karmatic Justice is rather mediocre because it requires you to be hit 5 times in a short time, and most enemies in PVE will bounce off a shield and the hit timer will reset. Not sure if Vow of Silence/Tranq peace walk affects most PvE enemies.
Gravelord dance is special because you can use a Velka Talisman and build int with magic weapon, and spooky skeleton a bess.

DS1 question from a steam sale babby:
I rang the bell in the Undead Parish and I'm having trouble with the Capra Demon in Undead Burg so I decided I'd kick back and grind something, since I'm only at level 9 yet.
The 'best' spot for souls I found is in the upper Burg bonfire, just killing the 6-9 hollows on the way to the Taurus Demon, for about 2,5k souls every 5 minutes. Is there a more efficient run I can do that's similarly difficult?
And, regarding Humanity: I've got 4 Cracked Red Eye Orbs and I understand you use those to invade other players and kill them for Humanity - is there any other way to get/farm Humanity, or more Red Eye Orbs, at this stage in the game?
About to head into Sen's. My current build uses claymore, grass crest, dingy set, and a talisman fit lightning and healing. What level should I go to? What should I level up for this kind of character? I'd there a better alternative to the claymore in its weapon group, or is there something else I should be using for long stabs and a few big swings? Thanks for any input.

So I know this is a late reply, but here's what I've got.
Poise is very different from Das1. It's basically an invisible bar kind of like your health that gets drained when you're hit. BUT, unlike health, it regenerates (so it's more like your stamina bar).
I know for a fact that ultra greatswords give you hyper armor during your two-handed attack animation. Hyperarmor is a "buff" where all poise damage that you receive is halved, so there's less of a chance that you'll be interrupted during your attack animations.
Agility determines how long your invincibility frames last you. So unlike DaS1, where equip load was the end all be all, it's your agility that will give you more I-frames in DaS2. Not to completely dismiss equip load, it's still important to take note of what percentage you're currently at.

Claymore is fine you'll just have to get used to how its slower and has less reach than you'd expect. For your first playthrough you might want to go up to 30-40, if you're comfortable with evading enemy attacks put that into str or dex if you want to keep using the claymore or have your eye on trying a different weapon, if you plan to enchant it anyways your end looks a little low.

if you want it for lower difficulty, kill taurus and go under the bridge, kick down the ladder. you can just show your face on the bridge then and the drake will murder the hollows up there for 555 souls. then just head back to the fire. but seriously, simply progressing through the levels gives you enough souls.

So I wasted both Transient Curses by falling off and drowning while trying to explore, am I fucked and need to go get cursed by a Basilisk if I wanna make it through? I've tried running through before but the amount of ghosts and the fact they ignore armor/shields seems to make it crazy difficult.

That's not how it works, it's basically the faith equivalent of the Oolacile ivory catalyst: you get a flat magic adjust with it regardless of your faith stat, so it's basically the best talisman for characters with faith under 25 or so
