I wonder how good of a ruler Asgore actually was. Alphys says that Toriel really "turned this place around" when she becomes queen, so I'm kind of thinking he was a bit too thick and oblivious for the job. He did just leave Alphys to dry after she stopped answering to calls and he did let Mettaton just take over Hotland, so I'm thinking he just let everyone do whatever.
Although how much of that was because he's actually airheaded and how much of it was because he keeps trying to distract himself from all the blood in his hands is up for debate.

One idea I had was Gerson being the one who killed purple, taking their supplies for himself while giving the SOUL to Asgore. Since Undyne looked up to him, he probably also used Green attacks and overwhelmed the human by not giving up like Undyne would. This would end up giving reason to why he owns such helpful armor for dealing with Undyne as well as the reason he doesn't consider himself a hero

The Aqua/Cyan SOUL, alongside Orange never have their SOUL modes revealed. If you base them off of blue/orange attacks, it would mean Aqua can't move and Orange can't stop moving

Hold up, my high school years are long behind me but isn't death of the author not incorporating stuff like the author's personal beliefs and experiences to help interpret what he writes? I'm pretty sure things like say for instance a character's age being left out fo the story, but the author later stating the age in relation to a reader asking about it since it is never actually touched upon and is unable to be tainted by personal philosophy.
Beat this game 2 nights ago. The Goat-Mom forced me to kill her, no biggie. I took down some random mob spawns and leveled up a few times. Befriended Papyrus and chilled with that cool dude. Then my journey brought me to fight the knight Undyne, who I went back and forth with for about 40 minutes endlessly taunting her before I realized I could run. I ended up saving her even though she tried fucking my shit up. I get to the Mettaton fight and get my ass handed to me, so I grinded a bit and killed him. Then I got to Asgore and killed him, Flowey went all Creepypasta, and Undyne became ruler of the underground and still wants to kill me.
Pretty neat-o, but I don't think it's the 'must play' game that so many make it out to be. The only time I died was my first encounter with goatmom, and my first encounter with Mettaton so I feel the difficulty is pretty lacking.
I thought the game was supposed to be all 'you killed things in vidya, you're a bad person' like Spec Ops: The Line, but I didn't really get that at all.
10/10 soundtrack though.

I was trying to link that Alphys thigh post but then I somehow managed to fail at that.
It's too bad, too. I love that little comic. It's the exact one that made me start thinking more about Alphys' character and made her into my favourite of the bunch.
