I want to know how many medals actually get you the youkai on the cover. I wish it worked for the rare ones that are stupid hard to find like Daiz and Confuze.
It would be nice if Youkai Watch had some kind of bonding system, like where you can give them treats or hugs or something to increase their affinity toward you similar to Pokemon.
But i dont know if that would work as well, Pokemon are more like pets while Youkai are basically equals and already your friend when they give you their medal.

I hear people say Skranny is missable past the one time in the hospital chapter. Is this true? Because I really like her.
Even with ski masks my attackers get targeted by the kuro oni special attack. Is there no way to avoid it? I have to use a max hp powder to revive them because otherwise they get targeted again instantly too.

Ski masks have them avoid all basic attacks, not soultimates, which can still hit anyone. The best way around it i think is to charge your tank's soutlimate but not activate it. Leave it inactivated for use again when the Oni does their soultimate again. The Oni's target prioritizes anyone charging a soultimate so even their own soultimate will go for the one charging.
Sticker of hate has greater priority however, and the Oni will always target the person with it, even with their Soultimate and even if one of your other youkai does a soultimate. It's a bit of a give and take between the sticker and ski masks. A tank with a sticker can draw any and all single target attacks but at the cost of lowered defense, freeing up your other youkai to have other items besides ski masks. Conversely ski masks give your tank the ability to wear a nice defensive item at the cost of not avoiding soultimates normally and providing no other bonuses.

I guess I will try that, but I looked at a video of someone defeating him with a similar team except kusanagi instead of bushinyan, and his shield is always the one targeted. Bushinyan is always targeted on my team and gets attacked (by normal attacks) every time I revive him unless I bring him to full HP (which can't be done unless I swap/get supports killed or use the expensive 1/day one).

Is your Bushinyan wearing a ski mask or does your tank have a sticker? If it's yes to any of these he shouldnt be attacked at all except for maybe the Oni's soultimate.
I dont think Ski masks will save you if your youkai is at half health or less, they go for the youkai that are closest to death. To my knowledge the sticker will still draw their attacks but it is a stronger effect than ski masks.

And I am looking at another video and he was also targeting only the shield (Togenyan in all 3 cases).

I don't think so, I've never hit a microtransaction button if there's even one. The money one (circled on red) might be it but as long as you don't touch it it should be fine; money's not even that hard to get as long as you have patience.
