I want to play a Jedi pretty bad, I want to have a nice "leveling up" experience over the course of the game, and I don't really feel like putting in yet another run through of Jedi Academy or KOTOR I/II. Are there any other good games out there that fit this bill?

From a crafting perspective augments. Fortitude augments are most profitable per crafting material due to not many have armstech. Mostly tanks and high endurance dps pvpers buy them. But sometimes you have annoying botters fucking things up. I guess augmentation kits also are a high volume seller but has more competition.
Most profitable though is stocking up on slut gear and relist it every day. I guess holding on to and reselling rare cartel gear in general is the most lucrative business nowadays. But that requires a lot of patience.

Marauders are good in the right hands. If you haven't played one for the past 2 years chances are that your hands aren't the right ones. But yeah juggs, ops and sins have ridiculous defences, self healing, dcds, sustained and burst damage.

You are kind of mean to a new player. It's kind of obvious he will be a shittier and his companion will be below rank 3 affection. A seasoned swtor player could solo pretty much all content on DK naked except the old AREA4 quest before 3.0 and 4.0 but that didn't mean a new player found the planet easy.

In 4.0 the answer is no since they are now all H2s. They even made the section x heroic soloable. Not sure about the seeker droid macrobinoculars though. They have some weird ass mechanics requiring 4 players.
