This is kind of stupid, its flat out a bad matchup for Achilles in ways I shouldn't even need to say.

The command spell actually helped him there. The command spell was "Test the power of every servant the first fight only, do not kill, and then retreat". Because of that last part of the command spell, he could keep escaping from Gilgamesh even over twelve hours abusing Restart and Runes to prolong the fight. His command was basically to test them and them survive, so he could interpret that to mean he has to survive, which gives him a boost if its a fight of survival.

Gilgamesh repelled Robin several times in CCC when he surprise attacked.

People never really seem to understand this time despite it being stated four or five times in the game and interviews. UBW is only better if you can get the reality marble up. If Shirou or Archer is trying to spam outside of the reality marble, he loses quite simply. The issue here is that Shirou could get the RM up because Gilgamesh underestimated a foolish stupid human, since that can't possibly be a threat.
However he sees Archer as a threat, since he is another servant, just like when he took him out in UBW as it was noted at the time by Rin that Gilgamesh was especially adamant by taking out that guy.
It was even confirmed that the reason Archer did not recontract with Rin so he could be full power during the final battle in UBW, is because if Gilgamesh sensed Archer alive and strong, he would pull out Ea for sure, and they would lose.
Shirou or Archer wins against Gilgamesh if they can capitalize on him underestimating them long enough to get up the RM, but if they cannot do that very fast, they die. Master support is also important in this situation.

He was fighting a US battle fleet and the coordinated effort of Manaka and five Servants at the same time. There are several points where everything would have gone to hell if the other Servants weren't fighting him together, and it may have not worked anyway if they had different skill sets. In the end he had no Master and had some of the effects of his NP negated and he was matching up against the combined blasts of Stella and Excalibur, and it was still a close call.

He's got Ea, he's got other anti-world items, he's good at recognizing the strengths and weaknesses of the people and items of the shit he's fighting.
It doesn't even take an Anti-world item to break cosmos to begin with, despite people always getting that wrong. All it takes is a weapon with a concept that says it broke a conceptual world. Its not about trying to find a weapon that's strong enough to break through the shield, that's not how you do it, its entirely a battle of concept, and Gilgamesh has all of the concepts that could be found. If you have a sword with the concept of "Will crush whatever it hits" that's more than enough concept to break cosmos. It doesn't have to be anti-world at all, it just needs to have a concept that can be said to work.
Gilgamesh is the origin of heroes, if you're a hero then he has your weakness, and Achilles is about as legit of a hero as you can find, meaning his weakness is right there. If you try to make the point "Well he'd be better than his weakness" then that's a real bullshit point to try to make. Its your weakness because it cuts right through you in ways that you can't deal with basically.
There are plenty of non-legit heroes out there who Gilgamesh doesn't have the weaknesses of, like EMIYA, but that's not Achilles. The only way a legit hero could remain immune to Gilgamesh having their weakness, is if he can't figure out who you are, like True Archer.
I bullshit making the Achilles point in the last post since I wrote the points from the bottom up starting with EMIYA, but there's more than enough that could easily be said about this one. Which is why I did say it really feels like it should be a bit obvious. Achilles isn't hiding his identity, meaning he'll be known pretty quickly, along with his weakness.

Although this really is people just getting into the weeds with the argument. People can't dismiss my entire argument, so they just pick something that they think doesn't have any direct source and tear that apart in order to say there's no content to the message.
I've already said that Cosmos isn't broken by Anti-World to begin with. The way you beat it isn't just "Do you have anti-world or not", rather its if you have a weapon with a concept that says if it can break a conceptual world. Passionlip's Thrash and Crash is a good example of this, since as long as she can imagine it fitting within her hand, she can break it.
No it doesn't mean that you can only break it if you have some super bullshit. You just need the right concept. Karna's NP had more than enough "power" to break it, but Karna didn't realize that power was not the qualifier here, rather its all about concept. You just need to somehow say you've broken through. Anti-World is nothing but a cheap way to say "Yeah its surely done it." but that's like saying that you need a nuke to hunt rabbits, when a rifle works just as well.
Its like when Nasu explained how purge defense worked; its not a matter of power, rather you can only block it if you have the right concept, otherwise the attack isn't registered. That concept isn't Anti-World, that concept is "Did this somehow doestroy a conceptual world"
Which entirely depends on what the concept behind your attack is, not the power at all. Does the concept behind your weapon "Break whatever it hits" or "Contaminate and deteriorate whatever it hits"? Then it probably breaks the conceptual world.
Its not about whether you can physically destroy the actual world, since nothing can do that in the first place. You can use Ea for weeks on end, and it would never destroy the world in any real way.
