After 3 months it's obvious aa2 isn't going away as a fad for now. I think it makes sense at this point for aa2g to happen and the only thing that may have held it back so far has probably been some "muh /hgg/ identity" which is just a personal hangup, they can always lurk multiple threads.

/aa2g/ would take away all the AA2 discussion, which I think we all agree isn't on a stellar level at the moment. There's still plenty of stuff in the OP and first post for /hgg/ to discuss after AA2 is gone. I doubt /hgg/ would die, though it would slow down.
Even if it does kill /hgg/, then would it really be that much of a loss? The AA2 crowd isn't going to bleed over onto /hgg2d/ in such a situation. A split could still be a beneficial change overall. As it is, we're 200 posts into a new thread and getting nothing done, and unless something changes (and as far as AA2 goes, it won't), this will be the norm for these generals.

Guys, I've been here since the beginning. I've seen this general from the moment it's began. It's up's and downs. AA2 never, when will Illusion make AG4? Arguing over if the Klub17 is allowed here or not. Hongfire wars, etc.
I loved it here mostly because it was a slow general, filled with kind people.
That is no longer the case, and it hasn't been for a while. The general used to be chill. Now everyone's mad at each other over failure to understand disorganized instructions. /a/ elitism is rampart, and so is a complete lack of reading comprehension.
The OP is now a mess of pastebins, instead of just one with recommended games and mini sub-pastebins inside.
Now, the once chill general is a den of anger, shitposting, and impatience. But most of all, stagnation. I hate the stupid "JUST END IT" shit, but maybe this general needs a break. For all of our sakes, so we have something to come back to before it gets too far down the line of what is and isn't allowed here.
Dick unity, is what this all used to be about. But now it's a pissing contest. Please, let's all just drop the general for a bit. AA2D whatever can remain and do it's own thing, and we can all muster up some OC, and calm down a bit, and breathe, and maybe make things right a month or two down the line.
