Rin and Luvia are sent by Lord Waver El-Melloi to dismantle the Holy Grail only to find that a new war has been constructed in the Association's absence.
Caren is sent by the church to oversee the war, only to find that the position is already taken--and in fact contested. Kiara has taken up residence in the Fuyuki church and has built a refuge with her assistant, Berserker. A new Grail War has begun, but Kiara is unaware of who exactly has started it, so she entered it as a Master/overseer combination to more adequately protect the city from the chaos. Caren agrees to aid her in finding the mastermind and ending the war.
Elsewhere, Ryuunosuke has stumbled across his old family heirloom, the Necronomicon, and has accidentally summoned Caster in an attempted demonic summoning. Caster is disgusted by the demented boy but also fascinated by his perversions, and swears to stand loyally by his side and record his actions, to see what might come of them. The pair begin to slaughter children around Fuyuki, catching the attention of one Twice Pieceman, a doctor who has to treat the seldom survivors of this grisly onslaught. He believes he wishes for the killing to stop, but the Holy Grail receives his true wish, to slaughter the people committing these crimes, and grants him the Servant Lancer to exact his desired revenge.
Tohsaka and Luvia summon their Servants, but almost immediately come to blows from their incompatible personalities, and decide to handle their investigations separately, splitting up.
Rin Tohsaka runs into Caren as they both investigate a crime scene where a murderer has himself been murdered. Each recognizes the other as a Master, and suspects them of being responsible for this new Grail War. They clash with one another, Orlando's unbreakable sword Durandal clashing with Odysseus, who uses his False Mad Enhancement skill to match Saber's strength.

But before the battle can turn in either direction, a third party arrives on the field, and the Servant Archer strikes at Odysseus, who retreats with his Master. The master of Archer reveals himself to Caren and announces that he is Sancraid Phahn, a fellow servant of the church and a member of the 8th Sacrement, who has come to Fuyuki out of personal interest to help dismantle the Grail War. Caren is reluctant to trust the man, but the priest doesn't appear to mind her verbal abuse, and at Saber's behest, whom as a woman she trusts more greatly, she accepts his and the honorable Archer's aid.
Meanwhile Luvia has begun further investigating the string of disappearances in Fuyuki, and has begun to find the corpses of children, not merely murdered, but warped into monstrous things barely recognizable as human. She finds one of Ryuunosuke's many hideouts near the river running through the city, and discovers Caster's workshop, where Lovecraft has begun to bring his horrifying tales to life, using the children Ryuunosuke murders as a base from which he crafts Shoggoths, Deep Ones, and many other beasts so horrifying Luvia feels pain merely from looking at them. Their strength overpowers Assassin, who is forced to enter his centaur form and use his tremendous speed to ferry his Master far away from the beasts, who now awakened begin to spread into the sewers and seek new victims. Lovecraft, having been watching from afar, finds a suitable young protagonist in the beautiful young Luvia, smitten by her looks and dominating personality, and deduces her Servant to be either Chiron or Nessus. He plans with Ryuunosuke to create an antagonist for Luvia that will be a horror to match her beauty.
Twice and Longinus work well together, Longinus being a man of duty and seeing a righteousness in his Master's goals, but he grows concerned for the festering hatred beneath his calm exterior.

Unwilling to enter the church devoted to a heretical figure he slew, he instead forces Twice to return to doctoring.
But upon entering his clinic again, Twice and Lancer are ambushed by more monstrous creations of Caster's design. Twice vomits and shakes with fright at the ensuing violence, but in the heat of battle he is assaulted by a Deep One that was once a child he'd operated on. Twice was forced to kill that child with his own hands to save his life. In the aftermath he finds he is not horrified by the murder he enacted, but invigorated. He feels more alive than he ever has. He admits remorsefully to Lancer that he may not be interested in justice at all; rather, he simply feels stronger when he is killing someone.
By now Caster's abominations have spread throughout Fuyuki, and isolated deaths are now turning into the disappearances of entire blocks' worth of people. Tohsaka and Luvia realize they can no longer place their pride above doing their jobs, and reunite to seek out Caster. They storm his newest lair and find a monster unlike anything they've dreamed of awaiting them. A half-born Great Old One is being formed from the corpses Caster has been collecting, with Ryuunosuke as its core, and in its horrifying features Luvia can see recreations of her own face, causing her to enter ceaseless screaming fits. She is completely useless in the following fight, and Tohsaka has to devote herself to defending her. Odysseus, wielding the bow of Apollo, is able to fight the Old One to a standstill, but even with Nessus at his full strength they cannot find a way to kill a creature so unlike their understanding of life. Caster dedicates the madness of the battle to Luvia, and declares his love for her beauty, and his eagerness in watching her succumb to madness. And a moment after, an arrow pierces through his skull. The Servants Archer and Saber arrive with their Masters, and Caster is slain.

Unfortunately the Old One he summoned is no longer tied to his existence, and continues to rampage.
The four combined Servants fight and defeat the Old One, and its great corpse collapses into a gelatinous mass. Caren, Tohsaka and Luvia finally realize none of them are responsible for the War, or the damage it has inflicted, but now question who IS. Sancraid then reveals his true colors, using his command seals to turn Sir Tristan upon the other Servants. Sancraid also activates his Bounded Field, nulling the magics of the other Masters and preventing them from resisting him. Caren tries to stop him, recognizing a sadistic priest that needs to be killed, but the grown man easily defeats her and snaps her neck, then steals her Command Seals to order Saber to kill herself. Orlando resists, but only for a moment before she runs herself through with her own blade, collapsing to the floor.
Sancraid turns his attention upon Tohsaka and the maddened Luvia, but Rin's adept fighting skill surprises the priest, who flings slurs at the Japanese girl as he retreats with a broken arm. He uses another Command Seal to turn Tristan on Tohsaka, but the battle is interrupted by the sounding of a great horn. Saber, still clinging to life, blows upon the horn Oliphant three times, blood spewing from her lips with each attempt. The first and second fail to elicit the proper sound, but with her final breath the third rings triumphantly.
Saber disappears, and in that same moment a tremendous light fills Caster's ruined workshop, from which Mashu and a second Saber appears. Declaring herself as a member of Chaldea, Mashu takes the side of Rin and Luvia and fights off Archer. They are forced to retreat, however, when Kiara arrives and declares herself an ally of Sancraid.

The three girls and their Servants flee for safety, leaving Kiara and Sancraid in possession of the remains of Ryuunosuke and the Old One he'd nearly become, their intention being to fuse it with the Holy Grail and create a device of pure madness to curse the world unto death.
Once safely away from prying eyes, Rin begins to nurse Luvia back to health while Mashu explains her sudden appearance. Chaldea had recognized this Holy Grail War as a potential ending point for humanity, and that on their own Rin and Luvia would be unable to prevent this perverted Holy Grail's activation. Luckily the sounding of Oliphant presented an easy route for Shielder to reach them; to her surprise, however, a Saber Servant she had not seen before had arrived with her. Saber introduced herself as El Cid, and declared she had come neither from Chaldea or the Grail System, but from death itself, having heard the call of Oliphant and recognizing her niece was in great need of aid. She laments coming too late, but pledges her blade to Mashu so that humanity might be saved.
Back at the church, the Holy Grail has been imbued with the corpse of the Old One, and has become a perverted thing that strains Sancraid's eyes just to look at it. He is overjoyed at the beauty of the thing, and expresses his glee at the coming moment when the mud of six billion curses will wash over him and all the world. Kiara tells him that he may experience its pleasures early, and suddenly tosses him towards the Grail, which swallows him without complaint. She takes Archer for herself and begins preparing for the arrival of the other Masters. As she does so she is approached by Twice Pieceman...
Two days pass before Luvia has returned to normalcy under the care of Rin, though she finds herself unable to look Rin in the eye, and Tohsaka refuses to explain her healing methods to Mashu.

Once she is well enough the three Masters and their Servants head for the Fuyuki church, a place already under darkened skies from the foulness of what waits for them. When they reach the outside of the church they find Twice waiting for them; he has pledged himself to Kiara's service, finding himself in agreement with her plan to punish the sinfully-natured mankind with the Holy Grail. Odysseus and Nessus engage Longinus while the others head inside. Lancer's mighty lance proves deadly against the divine centaur, skewering him with ease.
Unfortunately for Lancer, Nessus's poison blood strikes him and immediately begins to kill him. Twice is unfazed, and asks Rider if he intends to kill him, despite having seen the actions of Caster and Ryuunosuke, and knowing the vile nature of humanity. Odysseus, experienced with snakes, examines Twice's words and declares he believes Twice believes none of what he's said, and is only a coward who wishes to pay for his own depravity, but is too frightened to do the deed himself. Twice admits defeat, and begs Rider to kill him; the Servant obliges.
Inside, Sir Tristan, now wholly under Kiara's sway, and Berserker, revealed by El Cid as Berrnardo del Carpio, await their attackers. Mashu does not recognize Tristan, but Tristan breaks free of Kiara's will just enough to recognize the soul of Galahad within her, and spies his chance at freedom. He attacks her relentlessly, while Saber and Berserker clash. Bernardo is barely sane, but recognizes the relative of Roland the Paladin and mocks her with tales of how she crushed her nephew. El Cid is unfazed and reveals her Noble Phantasms: Tizona and Colada: Blades of Unquestioned victory. In the hands of Saber they are swords whose unmatched power are undeniable, and they instill a fear in Berserker that paralyzes him long enough for Saber to strike a killing blow.

Rin and Luvia confront Kiara, who has begun to digest portions of the Grail as food, and whose body has warped into an inhuman, demonic thing. She is not fully formed, but uses her words to prey upon Tohsaka and Edelfelt's fears. Luvia nearly cracks under the pressure, but Rin surprises her with her support, and they reveal their secret weapons: the Kaleidosticks, given to them as last-resort means to dismantle the Holy Grail. Working in unison, they are able to use the raw power of their weapons to overcome the half-formed Demon, and annihilate her. Sir Tristan is freed of her control, and immediately kneels to Mashu.
Apologizing for his inability to act, he prays for Galahad's forgiveness, which Mashu confusedly grants. Odysseus enters with the body of Twice Pieceman and declares the battle concluded, with nothing left but the destruction of the Grail waiting. The three Masters work together and annihilate the corrupted Grail, Luvia and Rin using the Kaleidosticks to destroy the Grail and Mashu using her own Noble Phantasm to shield them all from the outpouring of cursed mud that follows. Only Tristan refuses to hide behind the shield, as penance for his inability to resist his evil Masters in the war. He disappears with a calm smile in the sea of steaming muck.
The clean-up is quick with the aid of the two mages, leaving only the good-byes. El Cid declares she goes now to Orlando's side, and disappears with a wave goodbye, and Odysseus does the same, glad to return to his rest. Mashu begins to fade back to Chaldea in the present era as well, assuring Rin and Luvia that humanity should be safe now, at least from this potential disaster. She mentions to Rin that she'll give her best to her senpai, but Tohsaka has no clue what she means.
That leaves only Luvia and Rin in Fuyuki, with a long trip back to London and Lord El-Melloi, and a lot of eye contact to avoid.

No Tamo is absurd in arts teams, especially with Arturia. Tamos np bugs out when combined with Arturia's and ends up giving your whole party ~70% np gauge with np lv.1.
