I'm a totally new player and I started out on whatever the fuck sparrow I had, and it wasn't too hard at first, you get rewarded with a fairly decent bike quite early in the license progression iirc, so it's not long before you get a decent ride, and Xur will have his booster things for sale today. You might want to pick up extras because you'll get a few sparrows on the way like as not.

The armor nerf is okay, but the nerfs to the passives make it a shittier version of striker with an awful neutral game. Peregrine greaves make it even less useful now that it can be shut down even easier. Immolation fists are worthless now that the perk doesn't work as well as it used to. I already had a hard time justifying using sunbreaker over striker and now there really is no reason outside of soamming hammers in pve.

Never noticed if it did, I generally hit people head on or flat out missed. The only reason I ever used it was because it gave boosts to the passives and let me move fast without sacrificing too much recovery, unlike striker.

Not saying it's slow, the entire point of my post was that the only reason to ever pick sunbreaker over striker was the extra recovery and agility. They're really bad though. Sunsinger and Defender massively outweigh Nightstalker's value to a team, and Bladedancer and Gunslinger are basically shittier versions of Stormcaller and Sunbreaker.

I wouldn't go as far as to say that the fastest lap times don't matter, but I'd say it's more about consistency than one or two really fast laps. I mean, you gotta admit that there are a lot of luck based variables in SRL, like enemies, opponents, lag and other full-destiny-experience things, so getting the fastest lap time once is a lot easier than getting 10 really fast laps.
That being said, I don't think Doz is even close to being the best racer in here, all things considered.

Here's everything you need to know to so you're not shit at driving
This is assuming you only have Snowscream
>Never use break it's shit if you need to slow down stop pressing the boost button for a fraction of a second
>Use side boost when taking corners and other turns so you don't need to stop boosting seriously this helps get your times up a lot
>Learn the Shortcuts there's 2 of them that can change the outcome of the races if you hit them right even if you miss the gates it will help you
>Always try to take the inside of turns it's riskier but you'll get more out of the gates
>Utilize the side booster when going through the fans and if you have to just miss a gate to avoid the fans don't just dive for the gates blindly because those fans will fuck up your day fans are all about luck really and they can really change the flow of a race
>Don't hold up really just mash the boost button and use both sticks to turn
It's gonna be harder to keep up with everyone with just the Snowscream because the Eververse Sparrows have the same speed but slightly better handling just keep at learning the tracks using the tricks above and you'll slowly start placing in the top 3 easily everytime and you'll eventually be rewarded with an S class license and one of those badass Sparrows

Pretty happy. Needs more maps, and I'm not sure if I want physics fixed or not (they're broken in a kind of hilarious way) but the core of it is pretty fun. Would be even better if they added in a mayhem mode that let you ride turret pikes or those Cabal vehicles.
Finally got the helmet that makes you drop faster in the sparrow racing. Pretty much shaved off 30 seconds on my average race time.
