The drop rate system on Idolish7 dailies is flawed. The bronze one drops more often on Normal/Hard instead of Expert.

It's really wonky. For a while they would only drop on easy (and very rarely). They adjusted the rates to up the token drop rates and have bronze drop on all difficulty levels, but I still can't figure out the trick to it. It's like I'm performing too well to get the bronze token rewards, so I can score a shitload of gold/silver which end up being completely useless because I get like one bronze every 20 plays if I'm lucky. I've been experiment to figure out what grade to aim for to get bronze more frequently but I haven't managed to figure it out yet.
It also sucks for any of the characters in the Pythagoras Trio sub-unit since they're grouped together for events, you have three sets of items to try to collect vs just two for Mezzo and whatever Riku/Iori are called as a grouping.

I can't choose. I'm telling myself to not vote for KgK and Corda 3 because they're technically from a different year, but I don't have many options. I chose my favorite based on how much time I spent thinking about that character after finishing the game, and it was very close because I didn't spend a great amount of time thinking about anybody. First Goes route finished, and I'm a little disappointed.
They spend too much time on the Seven Mysteries plot stuff, and almost none on romantic development. I really couldn't tell why they ended up liking each other.
CGs are nice looking, but the game counts variations as new CG, so the gallery looks a lot bigger than it actually is.
And what annoyed me the most - the normal and true end was the exact same thing, just with an extra epiloge for the true one. Feels like a cheap way to make the game seems longer.
I really hope that I just started with the worst route, and the others are better.

I finished my first route in BAW (Satoru).
Since I'll put this game on hold for now, I'll just post my impressions now:
Positive points:
Amazing music
Unique art
No annoying moving mouthes.
Loveable characters. I especially liked some of the side characters without sprites, they're cute and all have different voice actors. I really wish the'd have gotten sprites as well.
Amazing voice acting
Very good system. Better than the usual shit Otomate has. There's actually a save menu with different tabs for each of the boys so it's easy to organize saves. I also like the flowchart and the option to replay a scene in the gallery.
It's easy to get to the good and bad endings without guide.
MCs default name is voiced.
Satisfying ending

I can't really say that much about the story as I only played one route, but I liked the bad end.

Characters sometimes speak really quiet. If it's while a louder background music is running, it's really hard to hear them. There's also no option to only turn up voice volume, so I ended up with a rather loud menu.
The backgrounds of the school are all rather boring, simple and not very nice to look at. I guess it fits into the setting, but it still looks cheap.
Almost no romantic parts. Even Psychedelica had more thanks to the side stories.
There certainly were a lot of similarities with BAWs. One of the girls is a cool singer, the group has a leader everyone repects, they have their own club room, etc.
But at the same time, there were enough differences, especially with the story. So I'd say they kinda copied the setting and a few of the characters are similar, but the story is different.
As conclusion, I liked it, but more romance would've been nice.

Played it, finished two routes.
Basically, it's a mess. Aside from the many typos and the technical hiccups, the affection meter thing is incredibly wonky. Once an affection for a character goes over 100, you're locked out of the final cg scene for some inexplicable reason. The CG scenes are all basically sex, though mostly its the guys fucking/getting fucked by random club members. There's like one sex scene with the MC for each character, a short ending scene, and at some point you can unlock the ''history'' scene which is basically their background story info dump that for some reason has a bunch of different CGs.
The character's are fairly bland and generic, babby's first creative writing (and foray into English evidently), etc.
The gameplay itself is a bit of a drag. It's basically a worse version of Hunk's Workshop.
Overall, pretty disappointed but kinda what I expected at the same time. They should have dropped the amateur voice actors and given the character's more CGs of actually interacting with the protagonist... not fucking randoms. It's too bad Hunks Workshop hasn't had a translation, because aside from that it's clearly a massively superior game (from 2004 no less)

The endings are quite differentand some have plot relevant information that doesn't come up anywhere else, so playing all of them before moving on is a good idea.
And this is just personal preferences, but I'd say do the Ken ends before the Kimi ones.

It's easy as fuck to level up at expert. Especially since the experience goes up the higher the rank you get and how difficult the song is.
If you can ALWAYS get S on a max difficulty map, you can get tons of EXP.
The best way to level up is to use your stamina completely, get always S on expert, use one candy, use up stamina again = should be enough EXP to level up. Now repeat.
This way, you can level up without taking breaks and at a rather fast speed.

Remove needless 'animation' of mouthes and eyes. The sprites are already beautiful enough.
All our games need are better writers. We already have top notch art, systems and music. The only thing lacking is the writing.
We'd need to make the writers a big part of the game with which the companies could advertise the games. We'd need top notch known writers that are widely known under VN players and make people buy the game just because their name is on the package.
But I doubt this'll ever happen, or at least not in the near future.

You can't. Otome and BL have always had a fraction of the funds that bishoujo does, and game budgets overall are shrinking because of the trend toward smartphone gaming. Even when otome/BL makers want to do something different only a few have the funds to do it, and the rest that try end up with half-baked buggy messes.
There is no saving otome/BL. The only market that will improve is mobile.
