I think its become clear to them that they cant make half assed multiplayer anymore, that if they want their game to be relevant for 30 years (that how long they want to keep the series active), they will need to keep players engaged (free to play model of micro transactions, scheduled free new content), they need multiplayer to be competitive (mlg is what helped keep CoD relevant as Halo was thrown out), and using the money from microtransactions as a prize to keep everything in motion.

I honestly think they are trying to reestablish their game as competitive. Since Halo Reach (5 years ago) its been downhill and CoD became the Main Console Shooter.

The connections were pretty shit on launch, game/req servers wouldn't connect leaving you without rewards. People lagged a good deal, just that you don't really notice it on yourself, and more on other people. My connection is great but damn if some of the people I played against didn't bounce around oddly.
That being said, wasn't terrible, just minor annoyances. MCC? Fucking trash online garbage; did splitscreen campaign with a friend through all campaigns, people would randomly get achievements while others wouldn't, levels would have the wrong loading screen/campaign playlists would randomly end partially through, you'd do a whole level and it would randomly freeze between, people would get level completion credit while others wouldn't, etc.

Man, REQ packs was sort of a bad idea.
Or rather, the way they were handled. If they wanted to make money, they should have implemented a Credit system like Reach possessed. Then instead of paying IRL money for packs, they'd pay IRL money for in-game credits.
Cosmetics, such as armor, skins, and so on, could then be directly purchased, while REQ packs are relegated for weapons and vehicles for use in Warzone.
That way we wouldn't have needed to trudge through a quagmire of commons and uncommons to acquire this or that armor, and could have instead saved up our Credits and had a goal to work toward.
It's one way games like GTA V can guarantee people will have incentive to keep playing; you choose your goal, work for it, and it makes the moment of purchase all the more sweet. Then you move on to something else.
That would have been one SMART way to handle this. But I guess that explains why 343 didn't think of it.

You then run to the roof and you can cap it since the base has no defenders. Once capped: Red team is forced to spawn at their core, making the first objective easier to cap due to lower resistance. It takes a while and it's stupid that 343 has yet to fix it. Then again, it's funny when the enemy team sends 3 people to do it and you just sit there while your team holds off the first objective.

It's good because fucking everything drops either plasma pistol or plasma rifle, which completely shred through shields. It also one shots most flood (though they'll get back up once unless you melee their corpse so it gets broken up), and one shots hunters.
Generally the same loadout for CE is pistol (until out of ammo) + 1 weapon you use for shields and flood spores.

Thanks for giving me a summary of my thoughts on 343i. It upsets me more that I can see a great game under all the fucking STUPID shit they pull - and the major issue is that it's industry-standard stuff that shouldn't be happening to Halo.
Shit like microtransactions, delayed features, rolling out said features later as 'sustain content'... that stuff. It's upsetting to see Halo go so badly.
