multiboxing makes it easier. I would have more but I sold a bunch as well. To get from 0-4k, 1.5 months? 7 sets x 5 characters per set, doing the normal mobs (most time efficient, you make more gold this way as well for time spent).
I did have to slowly increase the amounts of alts I had on those accounts bit by bit, but overall wasn't terrible.

I do it on my own, and I give away lots of things. I've gotten costumes for a few people, I've given away lots of gold, I help people enchant stuff when they're struggling. It's really easy to grind these most days. I start school soon, so really it's just stocking up for a lot of things so I can grind less later.
It's not 'fun' but getting good amount of gold in this game has never been fun. The fun is being able to help friends out or buy them costumes and being able to say oh it was only 80k don't worry about it.
