I feel like this is as good a time as any to inform anyone who isn't aware of the upcoming FFRK events. Basically, with Lulu's event coming tomorrow, there is just two more events following it (locke and sephy) that we must suffer through before we are rewarded with a sheer plethora of fantastic events, dubbed the Weeks of Waifus collaborative event series.
Essentially, for weeks upon weeks, every single event will feature some of our favorite waifu characters. This is significant because not only will the event quality be MUCH higher than what we've been getting in recent weeks (with the misfortune bosses are coming in these events) but also the quality of characters; both from an in-game and sexual standpoint, are among some of the best FFRK has to offer.

Every piece of armour can have up to 3 different augments. It's a random system and pretty insidious. Higher tier stones are more expensive but give bonuses much closer to the caps.

Hope you get a chance to read this. If you're talking about myera, then yes, I play it, and I know a few other people here do as well. For a private server the population isn't too bad, at the minimum there are 60 people on at all times, hit 150+ people over the weekend. The exp rate is higher but you can play something called mentor mode, which is the same as playing oldschool ffxi. 75 cap, sky, sea, dynamis, Toau content still being implemented but znm works. You should give it a try.

There's info on the endgame out there but a lot of information is vague and incomplete. When you get down to it, things are really a lot more simple than they appear. Just try and enjoy yourself. Also, work on finishing up all the story lines. Each one complete gives you a 10% capacity point bonus - and the stories are pretty great albeit long.

Have a pretty specific question, figured you guys would know. In FF7 when do you think you would reasonably get Fire, Ice or lightning materia to tier 2? Assuming you weren't grinding hard or anything, just normal playthrough.
I've played the game a lot but I can't really remember when your materia first starts to rank up a little.

Honestly I don't know. I only tried using fire once, I was going to hit it then immediately follow up with Leviathan, but as soon as you hit it with fire it counters with a burning leaf AoE attack that killed Garnet before the summon went off. So I reset and didn't try it again.

I tried that as well, fire immediately followed by water while he was blind. the fire attack triggered a counter that hit 3 people despite blind for way too much damage. Tried S/Ling several times with similar results until I gave up and went back to my standard way of doing things with a bunch of breaks and non-fire magic.
