New player, question about awakenings. So if I have a number of awakenings on a monster, devolve it, then evolve it to a different ultimate evo, does it retain it's awakenings?
Also, what would be the best way to go from here? I know the box kind of sucks, but I don't really want to start over again. Are Unicorn and Cerberus Rider ever useful or should I sell them?

Yes. You can also feed a monster extra Tamadras, and when you evolve it it'll already have the awakenings unlocked.
Unicorn is farmable garbage, Cerberus Rider is pretty shitty too but he might get buffs in the future so I'd keep him.

there's an 'awakenings counter' that keeps track on how many times a monster was awakened regardless of its current maximum amount of awakens, so yes, you can preawaken and switch ultimates.
it's a pity trashing a dkali so try to make do with vishnu for now. I suppose sephiroth is another option, since you can at least make use of dkali (and chocobo)
