Something went clearly wrong because we have A LOT of PQube e-mails saying they were gonna release a new Science Adventure game before the end of the year and they also started teasing it on twitter. Then they went silent. Maybe the translation wasn't ready, maybe they remembered that they're supposed to do QA, maybe the release of both EDF wasn't planned so they pushed it to 2016, I don't know, it's not important.

Yes, but OTOH, if you bought the digital version, you can play it on your Vita, whereas if you bought a UMD release, you'll have to re-buy it digital (if it even got a digital release) to do that. PT was a free "demo" of sorts for Silent Hills. Wasn't actually part of the game but PT stood for "playable trailer", if that helps any. Anyways, once Konami and Kojima started drifting apart Silent Hills got scrapped, and Konami removed the download from PSN, forever. It'd be stupid to place absolute trust in digital, but by the same token, it's stupid to think that physical media will necessarily last a lifetime, either.
Yes, old cart-based games and the systems which play them from all the way back to the '70s tend to still work or be fixable. I was playing SMB on my old NES just the other day (OTOH, my ColecoVision has been broken since the '80s). It'd be naive to expect my PS3 or even my PS2 to still be working in 30 years, however, and we don't know what the future holds for disc-based emulation of those systems (except that disc-based PS3 on the PS4 had been officially ruled out and Sony hs yet to commit to disc-based PS2, either). Even if the media itself lasts decades, it'll do us no good if we don't have hardware which can read it.
But again, if Sony/Valve/GOG/etc. goes under tomorrow, a lot of people could very well be out of luck. And you're still at the whims of them as far as support on future hardware goes. A game I buy today from Steam or GOG may not continue to work on Windows X down the road as M$ breaks shit. Similarly, Sony is under no obligation to support PS2/3/4/P/Vita games on the eventual PS5.
So there's pitfalls either way.

The games chug along in graphically intense areas. Unsurprisingly no one did a Vita LP of Rorona Plus or Totori Plus showing off Night's Domain. Most early areas don't have the problem but later on in the game some of the dungeons go from Normal forest to dark place with spinning skyboxes or particle effects everywhere.
