My misadventures in Torielfacing continues. I couldn't figure muzzles out so I'm trying a few alternatives. The top right is how I'd normally draw her face (the main complaints being simplistic, flat, typecast eyes, not enough snoot). I played with different eye shapes to help break myself out of that.
Are any of these better? I really wanna be able to draw cute goatmoms.

Yeah, that's the thing- I drew pony for a while, so a lot of that style happened to transfer over. No one really cared when I applied it to Asriel, probably because he's a child or I'd never drawn Tori so there was no issue of sameface.

I fucking love this game , i loved it just as it came out and i still love it now it's popular as fuck.
HOWEVER, you are massively overrating it. Why? because you got so invested in the writing, characters and story that you just forgot everything else about the game, mainly, THE GAMEPLAY.
Here's an honest, short review (part 1, too many words)

The idea "spare/kill" is great, but the implementation is kinda bad. There's literally no battle system aside from the "hit the middle bar" and heal. The sparing mechanic is literally playing a visual novel, which can be nice, but we all know it's not really gameplay, but rhather choice of what page to read.
The whoel "dodge the bullets" is nice, but it gets great only in boss fights, while in normal fights it gets boring fast.

I don't give a shit about graphics as long as it's not ugly as hell, so whatever. But, objectively speaking, the sprites, while decently done, aren't that great either. It's made in GameMaker and it fucking shows.
Character design is great, but it's not really a "graphics" parameter.

Holy shit this music is awesome. I can find literally 5 tracks that i don't like in a fucking 90 tracks and more OST, with most being simply sex to the ears. It's not 8-bit garbage or retro-music only, we are talking about great themes tailor-suited to the game's occasion, and it does a GREAT job at being perfect for battle themes, enviroment music AND feels-time.
Toby's true talent is music (and he's great at writing too), and you all know it.

The pacing is quite bad, and it doesn't last much, even taking replays in consideration. It's short duration isn't a bad thing per se, but the replays could use some work, with only one being radically different from beginning to end, and it involves a fuckton of grinding.

I usually don't give a fuck if it's not an RPG, but this is one, so Story plays a huge role in it.
It's half of the game. Is this a good thing or a bad thing? It's a great EXPERIENCE, but it's not a great GAME. But if you don't give a fuck and just want to enjoy your time spent, then you are in luck. Great characters, a fuckton of jokes and little touches everywhere in the world, great world-building, excellent climax and 4th wall breaking.
So there you have it. A solid 7/10 game, but to compare it to AAA games is fucking retarded and this is by NO MEANS a masterpiece. It's just a decent game with a story so good that it eats every other aspect fo the game.
