So I went to play HotS for a few days and came back. My eyes hurt after playing one game. Like I legit had a small headache 2 minutes into it. The champs in League feel like I have so much less control of them than HotS heroes and shit is so much harder to click. I'm masters elo in both games so this isn't some shitter complaining, I legit can't play League now without getting a headache for some reason and misclicking everything.

Before season 3 threw balance in all kinds of weird directions, burst mages and burst assassins have always had trouble with tanks. Tanks are meant to be killed by sustained damage dealers, while burst champs generally focus on killing squisher targets. Like it or not, the game is much closer to S2's balance (the most balanced the game has ever been). Some AD assassins and ADCs just need some tweaks and then everything will be just dandy (for a while).

I have no idea what you're talking about. As a tank main, I still have to dodge Lux's skillshots late game, just like everyone else. Her full combo can bring tanks and bruisers down to half hp and just straight up kills anyone else. Keep in mind she's slowing and rooting people the entire time. Then her ult comes back up again in like 27-30 seconds. Burst mages are supposed to have a hard time with tanks. If they didn't, then assassins sure as hell wouldn't. This would in turn make tanks far more situational than they deserve.

Honestly, I've been taking 19 armor pen (Red and Quints), 5% Flat CDR and 5% Scaling Blues, and 9 Armor. Max order is R>Q>W>E, and clear tends to be decent, but a little slow.
You need to be able to kite around the camps a bit decent if you want to even do a full clear; I like to start with three red pots, and not bother with the hunters potion. First clear is highly dependent on making use of your Q blind; make sure to always hit that shit on the big baddy. Masteries are 12/18/0.
Build is your preference really, but I like to make her a splitting duelist, so I grab red smite. My buildpath for most games is warrior>GB>DD>PD/BT>BT/PD; I tend to go PD first if I still need more damage reduction from assassins, if not, I go BT after DD. I personally like to play her moreso as an pseudo-assassin/splitpushing duelist if anything; just works out better for me. You could also go for ER>SS, but I personally prefer the GB>DD.

A champ can be cute and amazingly cool and unique.
What it comes down to is the holistic experience of playing the champ. The champ needs a good kit that fits his purpose and looks, and the looks need to complement and supplement the mechanical gameplay.
A cute champ or a sexy champ is good when its called for and adds to the gameplay. Making a titty monster and throwing a generic kit onto it isn't champ design. A lot of champs in LoL are like this and it's a product of wanting to sell to young hormone-filled boys. In a big company setting like Riot I feel like creativity suffers when they want to make a quick product that sells, not actual lack of creativity.

so for everyone that got the skin, what are your thoughts? it's definitely one of the best skins for hec, and probably one of the best skins in the game, but im not sure whether or not i will use it over headless when the season starts. definitely prefer it to arcade/blood knight/reaper though

Probably the best support to transition from, they're pretty similar. Your heals aren't too strong but keep 3 up at a time anyway. Positioning is key, so during all ins kite the adc and look for openings to land a stun.
Poke hard in lane, buy a spellthiefs and tell their ADC to go fuck themselves. Every real part about playing Bard comes with experience, so just get some hours in and you'll come to understand him better.

Keep in mind that the most effective use of your ult in most situations is going to be catching their carry by themselves on a ward and ulting them, so that you can get your boys on top of them in seconds through liberal application of tunnels.
If you can't make a pick that way, another reliable use of the ult is freezing their backline during a teamfight so that your team can deal with their frontline during the stasis. When they come to, hopefully you'll have their tanks limping away and your boys can clean up. Practice your Q a lot. Once you git gud enough to land the stun reliably it's practically a shitty Sona ult on a 3-5 second CD. Max it first, longer stun and less CD. W is actually decent healing with the buff it just got in 5.23. It replaces pots, and doesn't heal much in fights. Good lane sustain though, and the speedup can help. Max it second, because E doesn't scale well by levels. E is how you roam quickly or safely. It's pretty easy to get across huge portions of the map quickly with it, and Bard can pretty safely enter the enemy jungle to ward or get chimes. Ward deep for the jungle vision when you roam for chimes. When roaming, look for chime trails you can follow, to keep up on xp and have the extra MS.
Use your ult to get picks on far away people, remove the enemy backline from a team fight while you kill the front line, or get free tower dives. It's also a good way to steal objectives by freezing the enemy team while the jungler smites. Don't use it on teammates in soloq unless you're sure nothing can jump them.
Get mobility boots to roam fast, or swiftness boots to roam into enemy territory. I prefer swiftness myself, as you can safely go all over the map. Build CDR and utility items. Movespeed is also good. Blue support items are what you want. Thunderlord's Decree is the keystone I use, as it's easy to proc on Bard, helps his early/mid poke, and none of the others help a lot.
