The first three deaths were in my first few hours and didn't set me back at all.
So my worst was when doing prince ali rescue when I was level 98. Had to enter multi and a clan logged in right then so got a bit unlucky. Lost about 1.5m or so, still pretty poor but I managed to get the quests I wanted done anyway.
I do run into pkers a decent amount, I usually try to know where I can go and carry enough food/brews to get away for the most part.
